You're asking if you gained any weight from eating Chinese buffet after fasting? Your question is not very clear. Doesn't sound like you're fasting though.....sounds like you're starving yourself.....there's a difference. If you want to learn how to fast properly, read "Fast Track" by Ann Louise Gittleman. If you don't fast properly, you could damage your liver. Shocked

Eating too little isn't very good. You will eventually be so hungry that you will binge. At least that's what happened to me and I ended up with an eating disorder. I know it is so hard to diet, believe me I know, but you should really be eating more so that your metabloism is always burning fat. Not eating shuts your metabolism down and your body stores what you do eat as fat. 1200 calories a day would be good to shoot for, maybe more depending on your weight/height.

If that is all you are eating in a day, yes it can be fattening. If you do not eat enough calories to support your body it will start storing fat and breaking down muscle. If you want to lose fat you need to increase your calorie intake to a minimum of 1200 calories a day (preferably about 1800) and do weight training and cardio to increase your metabolism. You will start with gaining weight but it will eventually come off the right way. The way your questions sound you sound like you are at the start of a fight with eating disorders.

If you need help making good choices for your diet either consult your national food guide, or go talk to your doctor. Also remember that anyone who tries to push you into a fad diet probably has a vested intrest in it so be careful.

Thank you for taking the advice to heart. We see alot of people who post on here than don't like what we tell them so they never post again. If you read though the long term weight loss stories on here you will see that is the slow and steady approach that works in the long term.

Join the St. Patrick's day challenge with me, I would really like it if you posted what you eat and exercise everyday so if you go overboard we can get you on the right track. Everyone here is really supportive of everyones weight loss, so you don't have to worry about most people on here trying to steer you in the wrong direction (and if someone does, they are normally corected quickly). Also read my post in the weight loss forum lounge called weight loss tips and tricks (I haven't added anything for awhile so it's a ways down, but if you need info on something post and I will try to do some research for you if you need it.)

Also I just read your other post and the main thing that sticks out to me is that you need protien in your diet. Without protien (plant or animal) your metabolism slows down. You have been starving your body for a long time, you will probably put on weight quite quickly when you start to eat again. But please do it, you are going down a scary road. I see that you live in the states so you may not want to have the cost of seeing a doctor, but I highly recomend it. Make sure to add weight training to your workouts to increase your metabolism again.

one quick question , from not eating in the day just one Apple at 12:00pm and then dinner at 8:00pm for a while now when I sit down and get up quickly I feel the room a little wobbley and I see the room dim and everthing looks like a bright light for a few seconds also I lost a lot of my strenth and I can see my ribcage more but also sometimes while I walk for a few seconds my head feels hot and numb for a few seconds, this has been happening for a while now ever since I have been fasting all this time, but tonight my dad wants to buy me takeout 1 quart of Pork fried rice and 1 Quart of Pork Lo-mein but I am afrain it's too fattening also my Birthday is sunday and he wants to take me out to Golden corral and at night wants to make me a party so I am trying to diet stricty till that day, now sing all i have in the day is an Apple every day or 2 I lose a Lb. like day before yesterday, I was 179 and last night it said 178 so I don't get it my parents are really getting scared, and I can't maintain my diet, but I would love the take out but I am afraid.

You need to eat, stop dieting all together, but you can continue to exercise within moderation. You will gain weight at first, your body no longer knows what to do with food, but get yourself healthy again first, worry about weight loss later. Get yourself professional help, I can only advise you online, but if I knew you I would have you taken in for professional help. Start eating at least 1200 calories a day, you will gain weight but eat healthy food and exercise and eventually you will see positive changes in your body. Your parents are worried about you because even though your not at your ideal weight your body cannot sustain itself. You are getting dizzy when you stand up because your body needs iron to transport oxygen in your body.

How old are you?
