Hi I am A male 34 years in Australia and I was on reductil a few years ago. This prescription worked very well and i lost about 50 kgs in 6 months. Once i was off reductil the weight came back again. I now just EAT AND EAT. Reductil is just a quick fix. The think i dont like about it, is the drug is actually stimulating the brain into not eating. Drugs that do that is a major concern. Anyway LAP - BAND is the only other option for me..

Thanks
B

i have been searching the internet to see if i can find anything on taking reductil as well as the lap band. I find only stories of people who took reductil before lost weight then gained all back. im wondering if taken for a time with band to get down from a plateau etc...if you put what you loose due to reductil back on or whther it stays off cos you still have the band. sorry i sound confusing. im confused LOl. any insights apprecaited.

I've been taking Reductil for a month now and i'm loving the results. This post here makes me wonder though.

But i noticed that this medicine is showing me that what i was eating before was definatly too much, so i guess i'm learning the right amount of food i should eat.
So i'm hoping that, after i reach my goal, i'm going to be strong enough to keep doing the right food amount. Even if it's going to be hard then, at least i'll have a big motivation: being the ideal weight, healthy, and happy.

That's my hopes anyway :)

meh.  I tried Raductil (sibutramine) and found it completely ineffective. I excercise habitually, but found this particular med had zero effect on my appetite.
