I think that the green tee should be as natural and unaltered as possible.
Teabags are easier to use and you can easily get the right taste. I have dried leafs and sometimes when I put too much the taste is not so good. I also have to filter it.
Yes, you can put lemon into it.

thanks for input on tea. I'll see what I can find this weekend. I've read some posts that have said that green tea tastes gross Sad I hope that they just didn't make it right, or they are not tea lovers, or that they had some "old" tea! Smile
see what I find and let you know how I like it next week

I find green tea is best if you don't let it steep too long and drink it fresh. The longer you wait to drink it the more bitter it gets.

Hi. I'm still debating on getting the lipvarin to jumpstart my metabolism. Because I'm tired all the time and don't really have any energy for anything ther than quick housecleaning.
I'm wondering though if I do give the lipovarin a try what is everyone having calorie wise daily? If ones metablolism gets a boost and you are exercising with a good workout daily would one need to consume a bit more calories (good ones of course)?
I've read of some people eating only 600-900 calories a day. How that be good for you? I know lipovarin helps to suppress your appetite but that low of calories seems scarey to me. I was thinking of maybe like around 1500 calories a day. Does this seem reasonable and still see weight loss results?
Also it sounds like if one uses lipovarin and they are sstrength training that more than likely they may not see a decrease in weight for awhile due to muscle weighing more than fat. Any thoughts on this?
I'm overhauling my food intake and exercise program this weekend! I'll keep you posted.
Have a great weekend everyone.

well we'll see how this weeks go. Overhauled my food intake daily and my exercise program. Not the best week to do so as that "time of month" oh well! and my grandpa is seriously ill. He was up in Canada on a fishing/camping trip and ended up in a local hospital over the weekend and today they are flying him down to the US here in the pacific northwest and then be taken directly to the hospital etc., etc.
was going to start drinking the green tea today that I bought over the weekend, but . . .with all that is going on I HAD to have my coffee, but I went with half a cup instead of a full cup.
I won't post probably for a few days depending on what happens with my grandpa and I hope I do okay food and exercise wise with "girl stuff" going on. I'm going to try very hard to keep busy and do well this week.
take care all and hope all are having good results. How is everyone doing anyway with this challenge? are you losing weight or at least inches?

May I join this challenge? It's a month before my 5K race.

I'm currently 180 and think I can be 155 by October 20th (25#). I'm running in the morning and just got a Pilates tape for the evening (I tried it this morning and it's too relaxing). After running, I do some stretches, crunches, and light (3#) dumbbell work.

Diet isn't really an issue. I eat healthy, just too much. But the eating is emotional and has already eased up some.

cmille3 nice to have another new joiner!
is the running in the morning enough? or do you want an evening exercise too to keep muscles working etc. while you sleep? What about one of "The Firms" tapes or maybe try going to altusathletic.com and they have exercise charts you can print out and have handy to follow. I printed this one out called "walking jogging kit wall chart". I think they call it that because it's exercises you could do before walking or jogging. I do them during the day and I haven't gotten into my walking routine yet but the exercises are great I think. I think there are 17 different moves.

I tried the green tea after all yesterday. I like the taste of the one I bought. I did find out though I like drinking it warm and not letting it get cold after it's been hot. Probably because the longer it sits it get a bit bitter but definately a tea I can drink and enjoy. I ended up being able to drink 2 cups of it.

Did pretty good with diet yesterday and my exercise ended up being just major house cleaning. That was perfect though to keep my mind off my grandpa's situation.

My dinner got all messed up though as I was able to go up to the hospital from 3:30 until about 9:30 pm. I didn't want hospital cafeteria food and then it closed early and so I held out until I got home. My husband then reheated the dinner he had made for the family. Pork stir-fry and some baby reds. Wasn't the best and it was 10:00 pm at night but back on today and will do the best I can. Will go to hospital again later and this time I'll take like the South Beach Wraps that I have if I go close to dinner time again.

Best of luck to all this week!

Thanks for the welcome.

Homework - there's a TON of info on Altus Athletic!! Thanks for sharing that. Right now, I can only carve out time in the morning. I work FT, volunteer, and have an active family. The only "me-time" is 5 AM. I'm forcing them all to survive for 20 minutes in the evening so I can do Pilates. I'm still not sure how long that'll fly.

I'm finally ready to join a challenge. I've been doing the slimquick and liporexin together. I've added wheatgerm, flaxseed, and fiber to my diet. I've switched to whole grain pasta and bread. I try to work out every day to pilates and slim in 6. With the slim in 6 I have to cut out some of the things they do cause of my knees. I have less cravings and feel wonderful. I'm down a whole pants size, and hope to look good next month in a swimsuit for my vacation. Drool Have about 30# to go, and need to stay motivated. Dancing

Hey!
Homework here, okay okay I admit I tend to look into things too deeply at times. There is a point to that line. I broke down and bought the lipovarin. I'm hoping that it will give me the extra little energy that I've been needing just to get through a day without being so wiped out after just some light housecleaning!
Okay so I was going to "start" my weight loss for this challenge last Mon. the 5th but as some of you may recall from earlier posts my grandpa was in the hospital in critical etc., etc. Last week just ended up being a bad week to start my "diet" so I said forget it I'll start on Mon. along with the lipovarin.
So Mon. am came around and I weighed a whopping 188 lbs. WOW for me as it's my highest without being pregnant! So I started out with just 2 lipovarins on Mon. then Tues. (yesterday) I took it to 4 and today I'm still doing 4 and starting tomorrow (thurs) I'll up it to what is suggested the 6 pills total (3 in am and 3 midafternoon). I also stopped drinking coffee on Mon. am. I only had 1 cup per day but added yummy coffee mate creamer (and not the plain kind either!) Now I'm drinking 4 cups of green tea a day!
I'm doing the 40-30-30 program which is similar to the zone but way easier and drinking 4-5 24 oz. bottles of water a day!
So far NO side effects from the lipovarin. I'm all charged up and feeeling great! I've been doing deep cleaning in the house to keep busy and actually only going online like 1- 2 times a day. I want to cut back to only once a day online but we are planning our family trip to Hawaii so I've been looking up stuff etc., etc.
Yesterday I cleaned out the food cupboard in the kitchen and just cleaned this and that. My husband was amazed by it! Then today I've cleaned the oven yes the inside and the outside. I've gone through papers that I've put off forever and cleaned a bunch of other things that I normally would see and say "oh another day!"
I'll keep you all posted. I'll try and give a progress report like onl Mondays since that will be my weigh in day.
Oh and my biggest thing is eating at night. Snackie stuff that is. So I'm trying hard not to eat past 8:00 pm So far so good! Even had energy on Mon. to work out in the flower beds! haha Major weeds!
Look forward to hearing if anyone is still in this challenge and how things are going for you. Best to all.

How is everyone in here doing??? Very Happy

I know I haven't been posting as much as I should but I just haven't had the time. I went through a little bit of a rough patch the other week but I'm now back on track.

Stumbled across this challenge ... I think I was researching Lipovarin orignally Question Anyway, I think accountability is my issue these days. I started running, then exercising (with Slim in 6 Wink ), last summer. I only managed to lose 6 pounds, but a few inches off my midsection. Anyway, with the exercising & poor diet I managed to maintain over the holidays. Then I hit a wall -- exhaustion, mental resistance, lack of motivation. I just don't know what happened. Confused

Needless to say, I'm still trying to get this going again. I've seen the scale creeping back up a bit -- I'M NOT GOING BACK TO THAT STARTING WEIGHT! Work a whole year to be back at the beginning Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

I did start taking Lipodec, but I'm not sure it's doing anything (only been a week, though). I'll finish it out, but don't know if I'll continue it. I even tried a body wrap ... temporary loss of 5 inches (temporary because my diet destroyed it). I do think that helped with some of the dimples on my rear. Laughing

Anyway, I hope this thread keeps going. I don't manage to get on the computer (for fun) very often, especially with vacation season upon us, but I'll be sure to check in.

I would like to join this challenge if its not too late ??

I do have a couple of questions though.

Does anyone know if there is anything besides sugar to NATURALLY sweeten drinks, foods etc. I've heard terrible things about splenda, and the other fake sweetners. Dont even think they are food product. But does anyone here use anything else to sweeten tea or coffee that is good for you, or very low calorie? Is this an impossible thing? lol

second question.

I have heard somewhere that you should never start a diet on your period, or beginning of it. Is this true?

( sorry one more question lol)

What exactly do I put here, post wise for the challenge I mean? My progress? What I am doing? What I am eating everyday? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Thanks so much in advance, I hope I can join the challenge with you all Smile
