I've started running... |
|
|
The summer is almost here and I need to get those six packs in place. I've started to jog in the morning and I really feel great. It takes me about 40 minutes to get dressed, go to the nearest park and do a few laps. Its a great way the start your morning. It really turns on your engines.
The down side is that cardio will also hit on the muscles, this will make me loose strength and mass. The only thing to do now is to get some BCAA amino and prevent that. Can't wait for my protein bars and amino to arrive. HE HE, I will let you know. |

I'm not a runner yet, but I'm slowly working up to it. |

Run a couple laps for me till I'm able.
I finally started doing jogging intervals yesterday, but I ended up in the hospital last night with chest problems so it may be abit before I get back at it. The doctor wasn't concerned but my chest is still tight today so I'm taking a few days off exercise until I feel better. |

| Go for you Light!! I myself have never been able to run unless someone is right there yelling at me to keep going. haha. Is it possible to teach yourself to do it if you don't have the will power to keep going? |

Sure it is, go to your local track and find a cute butt to follow It provides great motivation (don't be to obvious though).
More realistically start with doing intervals and gradually make the running intervals longer while you make the walking intervals shorter. Even though I haven't gotten that far into intervals yet, I have noticed a huge difference in the distance I can walk in half an hour. My route a month and a half is now 4x as long as it was when I started. |

LuckySmile,
I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. Take some time off and relax. Do you know what caused it?
Ashley,
I am not good at will power. I used to do performance sport and I never liked cardio.
I am doing it relaxed and I do not push the limits. Its just a little run and I try to enjoy it. It is hard but it feels wonderful right after.
I am thinking to do it 2 or 3 times per week. Following a cute butt would surely help but there is no one at that time in the park...
Keep you posted. |

| I'm not sure what caused it, I just woke up feeling like my chest was being crushed. They think it is stomach spasms so I'm not too worried, but I figure I'll err on the side of caution for a few days. If my chest is still tight after that I'll go back to my doctor. |

Tip of the day...
Take it slowly!!!
I run yesterday for 30 minutes. That is fine, no problems there. I wanted to do more and added some sprints (HITT training). Well, I feel like a dog today. I was barley able to get out of bed. I have a huge muscular fever. Every muscle of my body hurts.
Now I am taking aspirins and antioxidants to ease my muscular fever .
Take care. |

Yes, I'm 25.
I feel better today, thanx. I think that it was a muscular fewer combined with some normal cold. I was sick yesterday, could not post or do anything right...
All the best. |
