Good Morning Ladies

Doesn't look like anyone has posted since Friday! Guess with weekend here, everyone gets busy with their families!

Brer Rabbit I'm truely glad to hear you made it into the 140's!!!! I'm sure thats a big accomplishment!! Glad you can share that with us!

Well I haven't been up very long today...I know I'm taking my phen today. For some reason yesterday I felt like eating everything in site! I didn't but I talked about it alot to hubby and told him I felt that way. I did eat quite a few low cal snacks...mainly sugarfree fudgsicles, but I did have 5 chocolate kisses!! It made me feel like such a pig. I think yesterday is the worse day I've had since starting this weightloss journey!! Maybe someone can tell me something, I hardly ever ate any sweets, even before I started my weightloss journey! What I don't understand is from the very beginning of dieting, I have craved and wanted sweets.. :o My hubby has even said to me, I wonder why that is, you never have eaten sweets? I told him I didn't know why I crave sweets now either, because I just never ate them before. Theres always been alot of diabetes in my extended family so I always just tried to stay away from sweets, and now I crave them and it doesn't make any sense to me!!

Well I'll talk with you all later! Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Hey there Minnie,

I'm beginning to wonder if everyone is dropping off this site as well. No one besides you and I are posting :(

Maybe you should have your blood sugar checked just to make sure you're not borderline. It's best to be safe then sorry, but I think that with being very careful with everything that we're eating our bodies go through a withdrawal and maybe your lacking something that your body wants to replenish with the sweets. It's good you had the fudgesicles on hand, I had two myself yesteray and the kisses aren't bad. Before my journey began I probably would have wolfed down 5 candy bars instead of small kisses  I skipped the Phen yesterday and not taking it today. I want the "kick" tomorrow.

Yea I was wondering the same thing.. No ones posted here but you and I..... I was going to yesterday but no one else had. I just assume everyones busy with the weekend. :( My sugar levels are fine though. I've had them checked just recently due to a physical for work. Your probably right about my body needing something. I did take the phen today and I'm doing much better! I just know I can't rely on it for life! I might have too :) ! Most days I'm fine without the phen, but yesterday I was pretty bad! Well maybe some of the others will post later on tonight or tomorrow! Have a good evening Brer Rabbit!!

Hello everyone...

I'm here, I'm here! You are definitely right though, it seems quiet around here, but with the weekend that seems to be the pattern for all of us, but here I am :D

I missed all of you so much and I have been very very busy... ;) Girls, let me tell you, I am on a roll, you are gonna be sooooo sooooo proud of me....hmmmm!

Alrighty, now that things are under control with summer school, I am planning on spending the next few days visiting the campuses and then I'M OUTTA THERE! Summer summer, here I am :D

Well here we go, this has been what I have been up to lately :

THE GYM! Alrighty, I am gonna kick some serious booty this here summer break of mine...NO EXCUSES!

The normal AM cardio routine is gonna take place everyday, however, I am gonna make the move that I have been avoiding for the last few months. Withe the transFIRMer, I am gaining so much self confidence through my ability in maintaining my coordination that I am finally going to ease into strenght training...

I went to my favorite trainer at the gym and visited after my workout this morning, which was GREAT by the way....and said alright, its time I know you have been warning me but now my mind has been made up!

I am going to continue CARDIO everyday, transFIRM by afternoon, and then strength train in the evenings....NOT FOR BULK but for DEFINITION!

Ladies, we all are fearful of this saggy loose skin and I'm learning that we can fight it, but its gonna be a ton of work on our parts!

MinnieMouse, you and I have really been avoiding this, but now you are gonna cruise right along with me ... I promise we can take care of this, Winnie, Daisy, Brer Rabbit...we can do this, I know we can....

Right now the goals for me have been set by the trainer to focus on squats, to strenghten the lower back, since I am in so much pain most of the time, and the develop the upper arms.

I am going to report to you all what the plan is actually consisting of so that you too can begin firming as well...

Winnie, I kknow that this is really gonna take a lot of effort with me in getting that protein added into the diet...I'm trying, I really, really am, its been quite difficult but hubby is assisting in lots of ways. Last nights dinner that he created was just awesome....he used the veggie steamer and steamed the following:
carrots, mushrooms, bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, fresh garlic, purple onions, brocolli...it was heaven and placed it over steamed rice with grilled chicken slices ;) Also, on the sauce side, he took some red cooking wine, ginger, garlic, water and soy sauce, cooked it up and it thickened just perfectly....YUM YUM!

Girls, I know that we are all gonna do this together, I can feel it in my bones. We have each other and this is the perfect season for fresh fruits, fresh veggies, lots of exercise and of course...WE HAVE ONE ANOTHER!

Light and Lucky, we truly appreciate your positive efforts in allowing us to be here and we really are pleased that you made us a Sticky...line of importane, that was so nice of you...

Come on girls, we have lots of self motivation and love here, we have to get one another through, hubby's retirements, reunions, onederland, summer breaks when we are out of routine (that would be Minnie and I) of course whuch means we are gonna be around lots of food ALL DAY LONG and neither one of us are used to this AAAGH!!!!!!!!!!! and yes, I am afraid I can blow it quickly so instead, Im gonn ahang in the A/C at the gym :P

Today Report:

GYM:
5 miles on treadmill carrying 2 lb dumbells
30 min ellipitical
1 mile on treadmill for cool down

MENU:
B - fresh squeezed OJ
S - banana
L - met friend at OLIVE GARDEN (had soup and salad - pasta favajoi soup)
S - none stuffed from lunch
D - baked potato

Well all in all, had a great day, gonna get to the tv and complete the FIRM

Hello ladies,

Just wanted to check in. I am hanging head down in shame :( I have eaten really badly this weekend. ](*,) I know Goofy you are going to give me a sermon for sure, but I am praying :prayer: you will not be to hard on me. :crybaby:

I am not going to list what I have eaten because it is just to much to type out. even with all this bad stuff I have eaten, I am still juicing the fruits in the morning and veggie at night.

I am with you minne on craving sweets. I don't understand this either. It is at certain times were I am just "dying" to have something sweet. With all the fruit I am juicing you would think I wouldn't be carving sweets with all the natural fruit juices.

Goofy glad to see you did get some protein in the menu this past weekend. Good job. =D> That meal sounded delicious that hubby fixed for you. :tonqe: My meal was delicious that my sweetie fixed today but definitely not lowfat  Plus we went to Pizza Hut and got a large pizza tonight for dinner and I ate two big large slices and drank two glasses of regular coke. Okay........... I feel much better.......... now that I have confessed my sins.......lol :crybaby:

Brer Rabbit congrats on getting in the 140's. That is totally awesome and such a big accomplishment. :supz: I think the last time I saw 140 something on the scale I was in high school.

Okay everyone just like goofy said we can do this. We can "fat this flab" to the finish. I will not give up on this "batle of the bulge" even though I was a "bad girl" this weekend with the sinful food I did endulge and partake of. :-({|=

Alrighty enough of confessing my sins and back to work. Hugs to you daisy duck, Jasper, minne, brer rabbit and our fearless leader GOOFY. Love you all.

A big thank you to light and others for making us feel so welcome on this forum. Drop in anytime. Everyone have a great day tomorrow.

I'm here! Been really busy but I think we need more dedication to this challenge. Com'on guys, it's getting dry.......

I'm doing good, so motivated now that I'm back in the 140's after I don't know how many years. \:D/ I've been using my daughter's overall shorts to measure my sucess and when I started, I couldn't even get them up past my hips, this weekend, I was able to get them fully on and buttoned! They are a size medium and I'm still not at goal. She's not liking it because now I'm almost down to her size :D

brer I agree with you , we all need to be more dedicated here. I come here and no one post so I just leave without posting!! I guess I should post anyways, but 2 days I felt like I was the only one posting. then you showed up! :)

I bet your daughter really hates the fact that you are almost into her clothes!! ha! ha! I would have hated it if my mother could have fit into my clothes when I was young!

Well I had a really good workout yesterday....In the am I did 30 different exercises, including crunches, lunges, lying abbudctions, reverse crunchs, many different ones with 5 pound weights for the arms and many more but too many to list here! I did 20 reps and 2 sets of each.
Then I did the treadmill at all different levels of speed and inclines. I actually made me a chart to go by that I found online. its suppose to last 32 min and with stretching afterwards 37min. but then I I also added a second one to do after doing the first one. Except I increased the speeds on them but used the same times. All in all I worked out 69 min. on treadmill, thats counting the stretching.

By making up charts for myself it gives me something to take in the other room with me to see what I need to do.. and after I do the exercises I check each one off! I did the same thing for the treadmill, more just to follow everything right... I worked my triceps hard yesterday and I can feel it today! So at least I finally did enough to feel it. Actually the tricep exercises, I did 40 rep. and 2 sets, because normally I never feel anything from it, so I just increased it. Today I'm just gonna do the treadmill!!

Does anyone know if thats true that you shouldn't use weights daily? and does that include weight toning exercises without weights?? I keep hearing people say you should rest a day in between using weights.

I'm doing good on calories this week, so thats good!!

Winnie my hubby won't cook anything but low cal stuff for the most part. I guess I'm glad, but sometimes he could cook things that he doesn't. I've really missed spaghetti, meatloaf!! He doesn't like meatloaf at all! So I know hes not gonna fix that. We now use wheat pasta's.. have you tried that? I can't tell a difference myself. Your pizza sounds good!!!
That could have been part of my problem is that I was out of fruit but I've since been to the store and bought some to juice and I picked strawberries at a local orchard sunday. Have you tried your new transfirmer dvd yet?

Goofy I'm sure you will be more than glad when you have all of the school stuff taken care of! Then you can start enjoying your summer!!
I see you say your gonna strength train evenings, so does that mean every evening? I love working with weights, but don't want to do anything to slow down the process either. The loose skin is some nasty stuff!!! Too bad it can't just go back to where we think it should! :)

I've had to refocus myself this week with being out of school! It seems to be working!

Hello to all of you ladies! Daisy haven't seened ya for a couple of days, hope all is well!

Minnie,

The trainer at the gym did tell me that it's good to take a couple of days off. She said the ok things to do everyday are abs and cardio.

Hey Daisy - congrats on the 2 pounds!

Goofy - Only a short time left and you'll be able to relax. Thank goodness tomorrow is my little one's last day of school. That means I'll have about an hour and a half to myself in the mornings.

Happy Birthday Daisy!!!
Hope you have a good birthday!! Hopefully you have something nice planned!! Thats great on the 2 pound loss!! I'm anxious to get my dvd's.

Brer thanks for the info, so I'll just do the cardio and work on my abs too everyday and work the weight stuff in between days. I can remember those days when my boys were young getting up early just to have time to wake up and enjoy a little peace and quiet before they all got up. Now they are grown! Seems like the time goes by way too fast! Yesterday was my oldest sons birthday and I tried all day to reach him, but only got voice mail.. Guess he had more important things to do than talk to his mom!! :(

Well I actually wrote all of this about 5 hours ago and my husband decided we'd go buy bicycles. Well we went and bought 2 bikes got home and aired the tires up to the correct amount of air and was adjusting seats and hubbys back tire blew out!! Scared the piss out of us!! Well they looked at the tire and it had a defect and anyways they tell hubby he can have one that cost 30 dollars more! I left alot out of this story, because the guy that told us this left before we brought the other bike up. So Its been a big mess!! Anyway we finally got home with the other bike and plan to ride tomorrow! Well have a good night!!

Hey everyone!!!

Daisy duck HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Minne WORK IT BABY!!!!!!!!!! :supz: Man I became tired just reading all the exercising you did!!!! In regard to your answer about strength training........I have always been told that it is better to strength train every other day and that your muscles do need to recoperate from working out with weights. The experts say at least 48 hours. I haven't started the dvd's yet. MY body starts getting sore just looking at them and seeing what a workout it is going to be. I have a bad back so I know that I will not use the stepper for a while until I get adjusted to the workout.

Brer have you started the dvd's yet and if so how is it going??? How was your weekend? I think that is awesome that you can almost wear the same size as your daughter.

YOU ladies are absolutely right............we need to get some excitement going on in this challenge. It is kind of lonely here. :(

Well I am back on track. Yesterday I juiced and exercised and did eat very sensible.
My menu yesterday consisted of:
B- juiced oranges, strawberries, grapes and apples
S- Banana and watermelon
L- Banana and string cheese and wheat thin veggie crackers
D- Weight Watchers frozen veggie Lasagna and two slices of thin deli ham,
S- Juiced veggies which consisted of carrots, celery, tomatoes, broccoli, cuccumber, and green pepper

Worked out with the Super Fat Burner WATP'S 3 mile

H2O- 80 oz

Today's Menu
B-juiced oranges,strawberries, grapes and apples
S-Banana
L-none ( I had company for two hours and then it was time for to start teaching lessons so no time to eat)
D-(I was starved by this time) microwaved two ears of white corn w/o butter, one large chicken buffalo strip, string cheese.
S-Juiced veggies which consisted of carrots, celery, tomatoes, broccoli, cuccumber and green pepper.

Exercised on the gazelle for an hour. Just gliding nice and easy while watching tv.

I talked to goofy last night on the phone and she has been very busy with summer school. As soon as she is finished she will be back in here getting us "pumped up" and motivated.

Well have a great night and I will check back in with everyone tomorrow.

hugs to all of you!!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY DAISY!! Hope you enjoyed every minute of it! :D And we're sure any b-day cake you had contained no calories :D

No I haven't started the DVD's yet, I haven't exercised in about two weeks. :( I think with all the work I've been doing here, sitting at my desk for 10 hours a day has messed up my back because I can barely move at night and rolling out of bed in the morning is hard. I've been getting into the Jacuzzi and doing some light stretching, but I don't want to start back on the meds...darvocet and vicodin..... before I lost any weight I was taking them twice a day. I have arthiritis in my lower back and it's bad enough to the point that my doctor won't allow me to see a Chiropractor so when it hurts, I just take it easy.

I am however doing really good with the food intake. \:D/ Still having my hardboiled eggs for breakfast and today I started up with the salmon and green beans for lunch. Last night I was a little hungry so I ended up having a small bowl of cauliflower and broccoli with ranch dressing, but the craving wasn't to the point that I wanted a cheeseburger. Then when I got to my desk this morning, I noticed my phen was still in the little dish I keep it in daily. I got so busy yesterday I forgot to take it and I thought I had. Maybe it's mind over matter :-k

Winnie, thanks for the update on Goofy! How are you feeling? Do you have your voice back??

Minnie, aw..I'm sorry you didn't get to talk to you son. I'm sure he didn't have "better" things to do, probably just busy. Monday was my nieces b-day too, she turned 3. My sister had a party for her on Sunday and I phoned in and eavesdropped on her opening her gifts. They live in Oregon and I'm in California.

Well ladies, I'm driving into Los Angeles tomorrow afternoon to see my "friend". I've been doing his HR stuff and we have an appointment with the clinic I've selected for his company at 6:00 pm. He said that after, we'd go have dinner. He came in for a meeting a couple of weeks ago to my office because of the event he's planning for us (our worlds are all wound up in eachother  ) and my boss told me that she can see it in his mannerism and the way he looks at me that he has deep feelings for me. I just keep telling myself to be patient. #-o

And, hubby is retiring tomorrow. Today is his last day. Yah!! Anyhoo, I'm still doing my exercises and trying  to eat right. Did well yesterday, considering my birthday and going to Olive Garden.

Anyhoo, luv you all.
