New here--getting down on myself
Hi there--first post, but have been browsing thru the boards a bit. I am a 30 year old female 5'2" and weigh about 125-130lbs. I have been wanting and trying (off and on) to lose weight for a couple of years now. I am finally so disgusted with myself for having no will power and would appreciate any suggestions. I would like to lose about 15lbs---the weight isn't as much of a factor as is how I look. My problem areas are my thighs and butt. Not much of a problem in my stomach. Currently I don't do much excercise but plan on starting out with some walking soon. Recently I have tried a "healthy" diet life style change by just eating more fruits and veggies--lost the will power with that quickly. Tried the Atkins approach over and over but have a REALLY hard time since I am really not a meat or cheese person. My downfalls are my Mt Dew (can't stand the aftertaste of diet drinks---have tried just about all of them) and the fact that I have 2 kids and lead a very busy lifestyle and enjoy the convenience of fast food joints. Some questions in particular are if it might be possible to lose 15lbs just by moderating intake increasing my water intake with walking and possibly running and doing some excercises to target my problem areas? I am so frustrated...and the more frustrated I get with myself the more I say "oh well" and eat. Any help would be great!!!! Also---any suggestions on any of the diet pills out there---if I would just moderate intake of the foods I like and excercise would these diet pills make a difference...Thanks!!
Hell IrishEyes,
Welcome to the Weight Loss Forums.
I think that you can loose 15LBS in an easy and healthy ways if you follow some simple "guidelines".
I can not recommend you a diet pill. If you want to use them just browse trough and decide what it best for you. There are plenty of testimonials and reviews to help you decide.
"15lbs just by moderating intake increasing my water intake with walking" - Walking is very good, also drinking more water helps. There are other small tips that you can use to loose some pounds.

You may not lose much weight if all you want is to look better. Start doing some strength training. I would recomened squats, lunges, sidekicks, and standing kickbacks.
