I have never ordered from that place, but the ingredients are nearly identical to the original Hydroxycut. Thanx for the info!

Hmmm, interesting. I wonder if those products are leftover, expired pills from some inventory that was onhand before the Ephedra ban?
Good Morning JerseyGirl: Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I was out of town for about a week and then playing catch up from being gone. Finally have the time today to sit at the screen for awhile.
The product I've been taking (Lipoxinol) seems to be tapering off. I take 4 at breakfast and 4 at lunch (this is the recommended dose). In the beginning, I felt full until about 9:00 at night and could stave off eating until going to sleep. However, now, taking the same dosage, I'm hungry at 3pm and then all night. I'm debating about taking it before dinner too.
On vacation, I gained 4# back because I was from the 6 I lost. I really was inconsistant taking the "L" while gone. Since getting back and on track again with consistancy, I've lost 2.5 of the 4, but I have to have will-power of my own.
And that's the whole thing I miss and need from the old ephedra products... it was like will-power in a bottle!!!!!

I hear ya, Tink. I often thought of it in much the same way- willpower in a bottle. However, the older I get the more I believe that the whole concept of "willpower" is questionable. For example, I still can't understand how people born into the same family, eating and living nearly identical lifestyles, can end up with one being perpetually overweight and one not. What I loved about the ephedra pills was the way that they diminished my interest in food. During the year that I was taking them I never denied myself food, but yet, I didn't crave it either. So, I ended up shopping for really healthy groceries and enjoyed eating them for the nutrition they provided as opposed to for all the other reasons I've always enjoyed food (such as for the delicious taste or emotional reasons). I have always envied people who don't necessarily starve themselves, but who feel naturally full with a handful of food 2-3 times a day. That is exactly what the ephedra supplements did for me.
Don't be too hard on yourself regarding your vacation lapse, but if a few weeks go by and you find yourself unable to get back into the routine that you had before your vacation, maybe you should consider trying something else (instead of the Lipoxinol) that may work more effectively for you specifically. Actually, one of the other posters here mentioned something called HerbaleanER that is an extended release formula ephedra pill. If I decide to give it a try, (which I probably will) I'll be sure to post my feedback.
Good luck!

JerseyGirl you said exactly how I felt while taking the ephedra. I, too, never denied myself, but once I saw I was losing, I started eating healthier and exercising regularly. I don't have an answer for the family thing, why some can eat and others can't. I don't know how old you are, but I will tell you that as I get older, those around me in that type of situation, the fat usually catches up to those who used to be able to stay skinny. I really thing genetics has something to do with it and if it's in your family, sooner or later, you will struggle with it.
The Lipoxinol is loosing its affect for me and if you try the HerbaLeanER I'll be curious to hear how you like it. About a year ago, I tried a protien shake diet (it didn't work) and became a member of this vitamin foundation to get the protien powder. Anyway, they just sent me information on Korean Pine Nuts being appetite suppressors. I'm thinking about trying their formula.
I'll let you know how that goes if I do it too.

Hello Tink. Yes, you're right. Many times the weight situation does catch up with people. It did with my younger sister, actually. Growing up, she was always thin and eating candy and junk food without any issues, while I was painfully conscious of every bite of my food because I could never get rid of my tummy. I remember one time, when I was about 115 pounds wearing size 5-6 clothes, being asked by sombody if I was pregnant! Ouch!! Anyway, I am 40 years old now and she is 35, and these days, we have the weight struggle in common. I hope that your appetite suppressant helps you. I'll let you know how I am doing. Take care!
Hey JerseyGirl,
After reading your last post to me, I researched Herbalean. It's by the same manufacturer of Metabolife 356 and has the Ma Huang!!!! I'm dropping the Korean Pine Nut thing and have ordered 2 bottles of Herbalean. I can't wait for it to come. If it makes me feel the same as 356 and lose the weight the same, I'll be thrilled.
Did you order, did you receive it yet, have you tried it, is it working?! I'm so anxious, because after 3 years of wishing, it seems it's finally true.

Tink,
I received my samples in the mail today, so I will begin taking them tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed for both of us!!!!

Hello Again,
I don't know if this would be helpful to you gals, but, back when I was taking original Hydroxycut, a friend who really knew these supplements recommended that I pair HC with another supplement called Metabolic Thyrolean, by Prolabs. It claims that it makes your thyroid not store calories as fat. Personally I thought it was bunk, but I did lose all the weight I wanted with HC, but had forgotten about taking the Thyrolean until today. I recall taking it alone and it did nothing. But it is possible that paired with an ephedra-based product that it really did work. I got mine at GNC but I checked their website and they no longer seem to carry it (prolly dropped it with their ephedra products). But if you google Metabolic Thyrolean, lots of sellers come up. I like shopwars.com, but they unfortunately do not seem to carry it.
I don't know if this is useful or not, but I thought I'd pass this tidbit on to you.

Btw Jerseygirl, may I ask which site you got samples of Herbalean from? That is really nice to get samples first, and not everyone offers that.
Hey there, Cadence- how are you doing?
Yes, I thought that was very nice too.
Go to the thread "Where Can I Buy Ephedra Products" and read the message posted by Cuzimdmom. She is a distributor and has a link where you can email her. That is what I did.

Hi JerseyGirl and Candace;
Candace, thanks for the advice for the Metobolic Thyrolean. If the Herbalean alone doesn't have the same effect 356 did, I may try that.
JerseyGirl, GOOD LUCK!!!!!! Keep me posted.

Hey JG, thanks for the directions to where I need to go, and Tink, you're welcome. I've been away - was in Vegas for a few days celebrating my bday and seeing some shows like Phantom of the Opera and Le Reve, and, eating whatever I wanted at ritzy restaurants. I wish vacations never ended LOL!
