Just think about it, if a product really works and helps you to not only lose weight, but also keep it off, wouldn't that be a big blow for the diet industry?

I took Xenadrine with ephedra from 1998 until I couldn't find it anymore around 2004.  Iwas 340lbs. when I started and by late 1999 to early 2000 I was 185lbs and dunking a basketball which I had not done since college in 1991.  I have seen plenty of people taking this product and the main thing is abuse.  If you take it like it says you will have no problems.  People have that mentality that if I take one or two more pills it will help me lose more weight or lose the weight faster.  This is called OVERDOSE.  I did the same thing a couple of times and felt terrible.  When I took it as directed I got the same results with no problem.  What happens when you take too much of anything - aspirin, blood pressure medication, sleeping pills, nyquil?  You will possibly die.  The problem was not the ephedra, it was the people missusing it.  Now we all have to suffer.  I have taken plenty of different things on the market since and nothing is the same.

Ephedrine is a chemical derivative of the herb Ephedra sinica (and several other species of Ephedra), and was first discovered and used pharmaceutically; about 100 years ago. Ephedrine (EPH) is widely used by consumers, as a stimulant and appetite suppressant.
Products containing Ephedrine may use the compound extracted from Ephedra; or be produced synthetically. Anecdotal reports have suggested that Ephedrine helps studying, thinking, and concentrating; to a greater degree than caffeine.
Ephedra is recognized as one of the most popular weight loss pills, available to consumers; and is often used as a stimulant while exercising. When taken in combination with aspirin and caffeine (ECA stack), some studies have shown that Ephedra is effective in promoting short-term weight loss. However, there are no conclusive reports to show that the weight loss was maintained.

For anyone who is thinking that looking at old bottles of the good stuff and comparing it to ingredients and dosages on current stuff, I have some experience with this.
Back in 1998 or 1999, I took a product called Thermolift made by Changes, Intl. I think. Anyways, I found the product online a couple months ago and sent them an email explaining how great tthe stuff was back then and I wanted to know any differences between the old stuff and the stuff they were selling now, no matter how minute the details were.
They told me it was exactly the same ingredients and same doses, except that a couple ingredients (which they named) were now being purchased from a different supplier. Didnt seem like a big deal to me so I bought some.
About 90% of that bottle is still sitting there unused. Its not the same at all IMO. Now, obviously, that doesnt mean that whatever youre using wont work for you this time around.....I'm just sharing what happened to me. Now I take Phen and its working. :)
