What is chrononutrition? |
|
|
| Somebody was talking about chrononutrition on TV these days. I couldn’t understand much, though. Anybody knows anything about it? |

| Hey, Andrea! Chrononutrition suggests a way of eating depending on the season you’re in, temperature and the day-and-night cycle. For example, strawberries and sugar melon are indicated only in the summer, because the time they ripe naturally. That’s eating respecting the season. The temperature criterion says that in the winter there are recommended hot foods, and cold ones in the summer. Never eat nights, because the natural body balance saves the night for sleeping. Basically, these are the general rules of chrononutrition. |

| Sounds pretty logical! But does it work?..I mean, do you really loose significant pounds? |

| The way I see it, it’s one of the most accessible life regimens to prevent weight gain. I give it credit! |

Hey, girls! I’m new around, but I’ve seen you talking about chrononutrition and that’s been one of my intense study topics last year. I should tell you from the beginning that I’m following the rules and I’ve lost weight regularly for 12 months and keep loosing (around 2-4 kg a month).
Chrononutrition bets on your body’s natural life style, which we often change for the worse. Therefore, breakfast should consist in cereals, dairies, bread and crackers that would compensate body’s lack of energy and sugar. That’s the explanation for that general weakness when we wake up. Yet, not all sugars are good in the morning, only the slow ones found in bread, rice, potatoes, cereal, pasta, as they establish a balanced blood sugar level. After breakfast, there’s a 10 a.m. snack of fruit or sweets (that’s the time for that favorite chocolate cake of mine ). At noon, glucose intake should be decreased. Eat proteins instead, especially fish. Never take lunch later than 1 p.m. and make sure there’s always a veggie garnish. By the way, no strong alcoholics for weight loss! Lunch is followed by a 4 p.m. snack, that is fruit or a glass of fruit juice. Dinner should never occur later than 7 p.m. and consists of approximately 20% of the daily ratio. Green veggies, green beans, fish… everything minimally cooked. No more than 2 slice of bread!
Chrononutrition forbids bear, alcohol or soda consumption. I hope the plan clears things on chrononutrition, girls! Keep in touch! |

| I've read your posts and decided to try chrononutrition! It's been 10 days now, i shook off 3 lbs, but the most important is that I feel much better! Never seemed I was making any sacrifice, I finally have some order in my life (in my diet, at least:)). I started to sleep better, no more stomach aches...I am very happy with it! Thanks everybody. I'm decided to keep going even though I'm losing little weight at the time. |
