Hello! I’m new to this, but I’m eager to learn more on healthy dieting. Anyway, I thought I would share a diet recipe to ensure my welcome around Very Happy
It’s based on tomato intake and it worked for me so far. I should say I’m not what they’d call obese, but I do want to lose some pounds. Don’t want to make this too long, so here it is:
Basically, morning and evening meals consist in diaries and low carbs (crackers, integral bread, cereals) and the main meal is replaced with a tomato dish. My personal favorite is made of 8 large tomatoes, salt, pepper, 2 spoons of olive oil, oregano, 300g of green peppers, 250g of green pumpkins, 100g of anion, 2 heads of garlic, 4 spoons of parmesan and 4 spoons of sesame. Cut heads on tomatoes, empty them and pour some salt and pepper inside. Slice the heads and the content and cook them with 1 spoon of oil. Do the same with the green veggies, let them soak out of oil and slice them. Then add them on top of the cooked tomatoes. Green peppers and green pumpkins, the anion and garlic are cut in small pieces and cooked in the rest of the oil for three minutes. The result is used to fill in the tomatoes, and then everything is spiced up and put in the oven at moderate temperature. 5 minutes before taking it out of the oven, spread some parmesan and sesame on top of it. This is enough for 4 portions. Hope you’ll enjoy! I loose 1 pound a day with his recipe.

I’ve read your post, Crysta! I had heard about the tomato diet and i have another recipe for those interested in it. You need 200g of tomato sauce, 250g of tomatoes, garlic, salt, pepper, 1 spoon of basil, 1 spoon of oil and 4 slices of integral bread. While the oven is heating, cut the tomatoes in small cubs; mix them with pressed garlic, basil and oil. Spice everything and toast the bread. Then added it to the food. It’s delicious!
I eat tomatoes within and outside any diet, because they are great benefactors. Vitamin C and water in them keep tissues young and active, plus they’re known to prevent cancer and blood related conditions.

Hi Crysta. I have read your recipe and also tried that. It is really healthy and nutritious and the main thing is that it is delicious. I think you like tomatoes. Normally tomatoes add more taste in your food. I also want to share one recipe with you that is called home made tomato sauce. take 3 big size tomatoes grind it and make a paste. Take a pan add half tea spoon of olive oil in it add a spinch cardemon, cloves and jeera powder salt and pepper powder and half spoon of sugar. Then add tomatoes in it. Cook it for 4-5 minutes. Add chopped corinder leaves. Eat with bread or any thingelse with which you want.

Pallavijanes, I couldn't be happier you tried and loved it. I still have some unknown ingredients in your recipe, but I'll surely identify them and follow your recommendation. Who could not love tomatoes when they're such a spring of health and youth!! Wink
