Any side effects on Atkin diets? |

Hi everybody,
I not an fan of Atkins diet and not an enemy also. I have tried the method and what is the result? This does work quite well at first. But subsequently, my weight loss stopped and I feel bloated at night. I even feel my shoulders are very heavy.
Atkins diet should include one more thing - make sure 80% of the meal is vegetables. Fat is not only caused by carbo but also eating meat. I sure you have heard our body is not good at digesting meat. So by put meat inside our body - a good idea? well I don't know and I don't believe it is a good idea.
I urged anyone who want to try this diet.....pls reconsider...I heard someone died of heart attack because of this diet.
I just want to share my bad experience with everyone. If you adopt this diet and it works , then my comments is "Go ahead but pls make sure 80% of the meal is still vegetables."

| Contrary to how popular this diet may be, there are side-effects, too. First of all, you may experience what is called ketosis. In other words, stinky breath, tiredness, dizziness, nausea, trouble sleeping, weakness and constipation. And yes, it may increase the risk of heart disease because of the nutritional deficiencies and low intakes of antioxidants in fruit and veggies. Osteoporosis is also a risk of this diet derived from the low intakes of bone-building calcium. Moreover, it’s pretty uncomfortable for vegetarians who’re forced into eating nuts, seeds and beans all the time. Some are real dangers, others are unavoidable risks of any diet! Take care! |

| I don't think the ketosis causes the constipation.... it's the low amounts of fiber |
