I heard some movies stars managed to lose weight eating exclusively green veggies and fruit and gave up cooked food for good. Is it healthy or are there downsides, too? I mean, aren't there lost nutrients? How much can you lose in how long, anyway? I'd appreciate your answers.

Hello there! I'm new and excited to talk to you on weight loss 'cause pounds are something that never seems to go away, unfortunately. On what Alex asked, eating green veggies and fruit appears to me as an overall healthy choice. I know that boiled veggies lose about 50% of the vitamin amount. Minerals are also diminished. On the other hand, giving up all cooked food means you always have to make sure you have the right amount of FRESH veggies in the fridge. Plus, I've heard the change shouldn't be radical or sudden, but you should take it step by step. Otherwise, the metabolism meets difficulties in assimilating new food.

Don't worry, Constance, the weight you gain from vitamin intake is insignificant and, of course, it isn't fat. However, there are some simple food combos to provide your body with proper nutrients every day. Proteins, for instance, are enough for one day if taken from green veggies with Swiss cheese, milk or eggs. B12 Vitamin is deposited in certain amount by a healthy liver. Occasionally eating yoghurt and Swiss cheese should refresh the reserve. Believe it or not, vitamin D can be assimilated by lying in the sun for 15 minutes. That's my favorite:) Vitamin A can't be used by the body unless some kind of fat is present. Therefore vegetal fat is indicated when taking vitamin A from carrots or other veggies. Got to go now, unfortunately, but I'll post the rest of the main nutrients soon! Take care!
