Strength in numbers, right?

I have gained over 100 lbs in the past 8 years. I am 38 and weigh 250 lbs at 5'6". Not only am I discouraged about my appearance, but my health is starting to deteriorate. I am making a committment to try this plan for 3 weeks, and if it works, try it another 3. Would anyone out there like to join me? Haven't really decided what diet I will follow, along with program.
Does anyone have any advice? Does low carb work with this plan? I look forward to hearing from you!

It is my intent to post my progress, and if it is good, for it to be a source of encouragement, as other member's posts here have been to me.

Hi Vibrant! Good luck on your journey. I am in my second week of the 3 week rapid weight loss and I am loving the Lipovarin. It controls my appetite very well. I started slow and only took 1/1 pill every morning and afternoon until I was used to it. I am now up to the 3/2 recommended dosage and feel fine. I have lost 7 pounds so far. I currently weigh 201 and am 42 years old, so I know what it's like to have a long ways to go to goal but together we can all get there!

Thanks for responding and being willing to do the plan "with" me. I am happy for you that it is going so well, and inspired by your success.

I think I will start at the recommended dose, and hope it does not have any adverse effects on my system, if it does, I will back down. What are you doing for diet with the plan?

Hi there ViBrant and MNmama...
I started the 3 wk program along with my "Life style change"AGAIN.. last Saturday 7/22/06.(Stupid stupid me for gaining this much back.. for gaining any of it back) I am down 4 lbs as of Wednesday morning. I measured myself Saturday also but will not do that again for a month. I weigh in each Wednesday and Sunday morning.
Maybe we can keep each other up to date and support each other through this "journey to a healthier you".
I'm not a huge Oprah fan, but the TV was on her show the other day while I was cooking for the week and she mentioned her bootcamp... I went to her site and read about it. It made me think of all the reasons I let myself fail. Just an FYI....
Anyway, I am up to 2/2 dose and I'm not sure if it is all in my head, but I feel like I have lost. I know I dropped 4 lbs but I don't usually notice it until about 15 lbs. It's probably just wishful thinking.. Pray

Well have a great day... Best of health to you and keep me up to date !!

Tracy

Awesome! Good for you! 4 lbs in under a week! I can't wait until sunday to hear your one week progress.

I started this a.m. and took the 3/2 dose. No jitters or side effects yet. I still am having a hard time deciding one what diet plan to follow. Does anyone know if the 3 week program works well with a low carb diet?

Nmama, how goes your battle today?

I'd think most diet plans would work well with the Lipovarin and 3 week program. For me, since the Lipovarin takes away my cravings for sweets and between meal snacks (both of which are my downfalls) I've tried to focus on portion control and healthy choices, much like Weight Watchers. I've done Atkins and Low Carb and think they are good for dropping weight but not always good for keeping it off. I personally need a variety of foods and need to know that no food is off limits for me to stick to a plan. Hope this helps and that your first day is going well! Very Happy

ok...I'm "in". I ordered Lipovarin on eBay earlier this week and can't wait to get it! I'm 5'4" and weigh about 160 lb. But...I have a small frame so I look a LOT chunkier than I weigh! I'd like to lose about 30 lbs.
I walk on the treadmill at the gym and also use the eliptical machine. All in all, about 1 hour about 3 - 4 times a week (I have to FORCE myself to go!). My problem is that I'm a cookbook author and owner of a cooking school! You can imagine...all I do is cook and eat! I'm actually BLESSED not to be 100 lbs overweight!
Anyway, I look forward to the support this group can give each other. I have tried ALL the diets and NONE work (for long). So, I've decided to eat EVERYTHING in moderation and keep exercising (maybe increase to 20 minutes on "off" days from the gym). Best of luck to all...I'll be looking to cheer you on!

Great! The more the merrier. Wow, cookbooks and a cooking school! I understand, as I owned a cafe, and even though I wasn't intentionally eating anything, I was tasting everything to make sure it was good! Yipes! I hope your stuff comes soon. I ordered mine on ebay as well, it came super quick.

Well, first day down . . . I noticed a bit more energy, not much of a difference in appetite control, although my eating has always been "comfort" driven, not hunger controlled. Did pee alot. Ate low carb. Got on the scale this a.m. and I am down 2 lbs. Yeah!

How is everyone else doing?

Great start ViBrant! I hope you continue to feel good and to lose weight quickly. It's hard to think about the long haul with any diet program--we just want immediate results don't we! I keep telling myself to think about making goal by Christmas so I don't get discouraged about not being thin by tomorrow. Laughing Just a day at a time...

MsBiz--welcome to our support system. We are all just getting to know eachother so it is great to have you on board. Do you specialize in a particular type/style of cooking?

MNmama, It is frustrating to have so far to go, and it gets very discouraging. I have just got to keep the momentum going, and soon enough days turn into weeks, turn into months . . . I think back to what I was doing a year ago and it doesn't seem that far back . . . just think if we all keep on track with weight loss at even 1 to 2 lbs per week, in a year from now it will add up. I am setting a goal for Christmastime to hit or go below 200. What is your goal?

Just had lunch . . . . mussels in garlic wine broth and a diet coke Smile Had 2 cheese sticks for breakfast. Not feeling any adverse side effects to 3/2 dosage. Although, did have a bit of trouble getting to sleep last night.

Thanks Light - will do, on the water thing Smile Not quite so hot where I am . . I am on the coast of Maine, temp is 80 with a nice sea breeze today.

Have a good day all!

THANKS FOR THE WELCOME, MNmama! My cooking? It's continental. I was born in Morocco of Italian/French parents and with Spain just across the Strait of Gibraltar, our cuisine was representative of all these countries. Mostly "peasant" food...good down home stuff with an exotic flair. My webiste if msbiztoo.tripod.com if you want to check it out. See how nice I looked a few year back!!! I'm trying to get back to that weight (and maybe a little less).
Guess what! My Lipovarin arrived this afternoon! I can't believe it got here so fast! I will start tomorrow...a bad thing since I've cooked all day for a friend whose Grandmother died yesterday (and lived with them) and on Sunday our church is having a pot luck so tomorrow I'll be cooking all day for that. I get "tapped" a lot for cooking because of what I do--it's like I can't get away from it!! Besides, my BIG problem is that I just LIKE TO EAT...nothing to do with moods or depression or anything...I just LOVE TO COOK AND LOVE TO EAT! I've got to get away from this mentality and, hopefully, Lipovarin will help. My husband also suggested Hoodia. Ever try that? I think I might if this Lipovarin doesn't work. I need a MAJOR MIRACLE here!
Proud of YOU, ViBrant! Already losing and after only one day! Boy...if that only happens to me...you will all hear about it! Best of luck!

Hey! I just noticed the Maine address...I lived in Limestone, Maine for 3 winters waaaaayyyyyy back in the 60s! In fact, one of my son's was born there...at the airforce base.
I also had a roommate in college from Bangor...small world (no pun intended!) I hope we are all smaller in a few months Ha! Ha!
