From what I have read using weights in combination with resistance bands is your best bet. Resistance bands by themself have the problem of getting harder at the peak but by using them in combination with weights it levels off. I'll see if I can find the article for more information.

I'd like to know too. I was using weights first, but then I switched to bands and now I want to use weights again.

Hi there! I wouldn't advice any woman or girl to use weights in work outs, unless they're insignificant. The secret is to try to exercise as correct as possible every move as many times as possible. Your own body is the best counter-weight.

Weight training is recommended to any person regardless of gender. The weight used should allow you to effectuate the exercise correctly and also put pressure on your muscles.
