Bitter Orange vs. Ephedra: Does it work?
I've been taking Stimerex with ephedra and have since developed the first eye infection of my life - and I don't wear contacts. Also, it wiped out my appetite for about 2 days but doesn't seem to work as well anymore. While it's probably a coincidence, I looked into ephedra substitutes, and there appears to be a "stack" of bitter orange, caffeine and St. John's Wort that has been tested in clinical trials and seems to offer the benefits of ephedra (using synephrine) without the side effects. Apparently it only affects the beta-3 receptors that control fat loss without aggravating beta-1 and -2 that affect the circulatory system. Has anyone tried this? Or had negative (or useless) effects?
