Hey guys and gals~! I am new to this forum as of today, but I couldnt help but make a new post as I didnt really see anything about LA Weight Loss on here.

First off, a little about me...I am 19 yrs old, and have been around 130, 5'5'' my entire life...that is until I got married at 17. I quit school, got my GED a few months later, and started college. Other than going to school 4 hours a week, I was in love with the idea of being married. I no longer played volleyball, and participated in swim meets. I sat around, cleaned the house, and prepared very hearty meals for dinner, and then had leftovers for lunch everyday. I fell into the adult life, and started gaining weight. Within a year and a half period, my weight rose to a high at 218lbs. I got sick of feeling unattractive, self concious, little to no self esteem, and jealous of any cute girl that caught my husbands eye.

I joined LA Weight Loss (www.laweightloss.com) very skeptical, thinking that it was just another weight loss scam. In the past 8 weeks (the total time ive been on the program) I have lost 33lbs!! I started at 218, and am now 185. my goal weight is 125, so I do have quite a ways to go, but I have to tell anyone and everyone how well this program actually works.

to summarize it, its pretty much just rearranging your eating habits. i cant tell you what to do, because the plan you go on is personalized for YOU. it is based on your current eating habits, your current exercise level, and your current emotional-binge eating/not esting issues.

to start out, you go and "weigh-in" 3 times a week, not scheduled, so just whenever you have time or are on that side of town. it only takes 10 minutes, or longer if you have any questions or run into problems and need to talk. the counselors there are soo nice, and dont act all fake. all the counselors have been or are currently on the program, so they are not judging at all, and truly do understand what you are talking about when you have concerns. the only product they want you to buy from them are the la weight loss nutritional bars, which you eat twice a day as a snack. they are soy products, which actually arent that bad. they have 13 different flavors of bars, and honestly the only ones i eat are chocolate caramel crunch, and chocolate crunch. they are the only ones that dont have a bad consistency and taste really good. my husband even thinks they are good and sometimes choses them over a snickers and he isnt overweight at all. Very Happy

to start off, i was allowed a day:

2 starches
2 proteins
4 vegetables
3 fruits
1 dairy
1 fat
2 la lites (la bars i was talking about)

8 glasses of water
1/4 tsp morton lite salt
3 condiments (optional)

all of what they tell you are on your diet, you MUST get in everyday, even if you arent that hungry that particular day. you eat 6 mini meals a day.

breakfast
mid am
lunch
mid afternoon
dinner
evening snack

the reason you MUST get all 6 meals in and all 8 glasses of water a day is to boost your metabolism. in order to loose weight, your body has to continously keep working, so that it doesnt turn the food you ate into fat, it needs to keep digesting it.

another main point is portion control. i know that list above may seem like alot of food for a diet, but your portions allow you to lose weight, without being hungry. you still get to eat most everything you eat now, you just buy fat free, low sodium, no sugar added variations now, and you watch your portions.

this is a very well thought out and researched program. when or if you go to just talk to someone to see if this plan is right for you, please please please dont let the price scare you away. the initial price is 600 dollars, but even if you have a credit score under 300, you can get approved for the care credit plan, which puts it on a loan with only like 6% interest, and you only pay $18 a month.

this is seroiusly the best thing that i have ever invested my time and money into, other than my personal life (hubby, car etc) also as a completely honest statement, i have not evercised a single day. I do plan on it within the next month so that I dont end up with extra skin since i am wanting to loose so much, but I have not exercised a single day since ove been on the plan.

i will be getting some before, and after pics up soon.....please check it out....it is sooooooooo worth it, i dont know how much more i can emphasize how much it is changing my life.

good luck to everyone that is out there losing weight, and hopefully i will learn some good new tricks as well... Smile

No replies!! There are plenty of scams out there, and this is not one of them. Pills arent going to soley make you loose weight. You have to change your lifestyle...you have to eat healthy and continue with it. A diet is just that, a diet. No one wants to be on a diet the rest of their life, a healthy eating lifestyle however is healthier, more enjoyable, and will allow you to loose wait the healthy way.
