What are the right exercises for me?.... |
|
|
Hey guys, new here. Right now i'm 171lbs, and 5'7"
Ideally I'd like to be around 140-145. Just curious what exercises i could do to I guess lose my tummy and tone it up? Right now only exercising I do is going for a walk or biking everyday, but doesnt seem to be doing much. I've been working on my diet lately, and need some good exercises.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Shanny |

Hi Shanny,
Welcome to the Weight Loss Forums.
For a flat tummy you need first to loose the extra fat tissue. I strongly recommend you cardio exercises. You can try aerobics, jogging, elliptical bike, swimming... everything that makes your heart beat rate go up.
I am very pleased with the results and burned calories the treadmill gives. 20 minutes on the treadmill 3 times per will will give you a good start.
Another thing you need to do is to workout with weights. This gives the muscular tonus you need and also boosts your metabolism.
Do a combination of cardio exercises and weight lifting and you will see the best results.
What are your favorite exercises?
Good luck. |

Favorite exercises...Hmmmm...Does sitting on the computer chair count? My favorite is biking or walking. but the weather here doesnt always allow that, and my weight doesnt seem to flucuate at all anymore, maybe 2-3 up and then down, then back to the start.

| Biking and walking are good for maintaining your weight. If you want more results you really need to lift up your heart rate. |

| Hey, Shanny? Like dancing? You could do that anywhere, home or in a gym. You'll definitely like to have your body shaped while having fun. This is how I lost 15 lbs. Salsa, rock'n roll and merengue are most efficient. Think about it! |

I totally agree. Dancing is a great way to fight the stress and burn out those calories.
I out clubbing and dancing every weekend, love that! |

Hi Shanny
You mentioned that you like walking and biking...well those are, in my opinion, two great ways to lose weight. Combined with a healthy diet of course...
Walk sort of walking do you do?... How long do you walk?... A good brisk walk can be more beneficial than jogging... the problem that I have with jogging is, it pounds the knees... each time you put your foot down the impact is like 3 times your body weight....
As for biking.... what sort of bike do you have, how long do you ride? Do you ride with a heart rate monitor? |
