im starting my own topic on using lipovarin. i think this will be very helpful to myself and others who stumble acrossed it, but basically for myself to record my progess...
i am 20, only 5'6'' and weigh 154 pounds. my goal is 140 pounds. at one point in high school i was 180 lbs but got down to 140, but have gained about 15lbs since then to my current weight. i had hypertension so i had to take blood pressure pills for a few years in high school, then when i was down to 140 i got to be taken off them, but about a month ago i had to be put back on them. so my most important goal is to be taken off these hypertension pills.

today was my first day of use. i did the recommended dose of 3 pills twice today. i did not feel any side effects, but am use to drinking alot of caffeine in sodas. i cut out the sodas today and feel fine. i lifted weights and walked twice today for a combined 2 hrs. im still a young pup with a lot of time on my hands. i benched an extra 10lbs today with more reps, i dont know if it was the pills or just adrenaline from thinking about the pills. i ate miniwheats for breakfast, 2 eggrolls for lunch and a 6 inch sub for supper. yeah way too much food in one day, but tomorrow is a new day Cool see you tomorrow!

Don't forget, if you like sodas, you can drink diet soda, this way you still feel like you are getting something sweet but without the sugar. The sugar in the soda is what gets ya. On average there is 25g of sugar per regular soda, which is like eating about 20 teaspoons of sugar, BLECH! Diet soda=0g of sugar! YAY! Some peeps don't like the taste of diet, and neither did I but after a while or forcing yourself to drink them you get used to it (lol) Now when I try to drink a regular one, which is only when there is nothing else avail, it tastes just like syrup to me.

Also , the amount of food that you ate wasn't that bad, it's what you ate, try to stick to a low calorie diet. Hard boiled eggs, lowfat cottage cheese & yogurt, fruits & vegetables. and whenever possible go for the sugar free stuff. Your body burns sugar instead of fat when you consume it plus it's just not good for you because it raises your insulin levels and does a host of othe damages to your body. The sugars in fruit & vegetables is a good sugar, it's natural. Also if you eat several small nutritious meals a day you will avoid the feeling that you are starving , thus avoiding binge eating.

Here is a little blurb on sugar, after reading this you may never want to eat it again LOL

Best of luck to you!

Kimberly,

Actually sodas, 'reg' or 'diet' are just not good for u. Both dehydrate the body etc etc - also, why do u alwyas see 'fat' people drinking diet soada, and relatively 'thin' people drinking the 'reg' stuff??....this is page 1 of 3, have to go to the link to read the other 2 pages. But, of course, if you're not going to give the stuff up, limit it as much as u can.

Drink More Diet Soda, Gain More Weight?

Overweight Risk Soars 41% With Each Daily Can of Diet Soft Drink
By Daniel DeNoon
WebMD Medical News Reviewed By Charlotte Grayson, MD
on Monday, June 13, 2005

June 13, 2005 -- People who drink diet soft drinks don't lose weight. In fact, they gain weight, a new study shows.

The findings come from eight years of data collected by Sharon P. Fowler, MPH, and colleagues at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. Fowler reported the data at the annual meeting of the American Diabetes Association in San Diego.

"What didn't surprise us was that total soft drink use was linked to overweight and obesity," Fowler tells WebMD. "What was surprising was when we looked at people only drinking diet soft drinks, their risk of obesity was even higher."

In fact, when the researchers took a closer look at their data, they found that nearly all the obesity risk from soft drinks came from diet sodas.

"There was a 41% increase in risk of being overweight for every can or bottle of diet soft drink a person consumes each day," Fowler says.

More Diet Drinks, More Weight Gain

Fowler's team looked at seven to eight years of data on 1,550 Mexican-American and non-Hispanic white Americans aged 25 to 64. Of the 622 study participants who were of normal weight at the beginning of the study, about a third became overweight or obese.

For regular soft-drink drinkers, the risk of becoming overweight or obese was:

* 26% for up to 1/2 can each day
* 30.4% for 1/2 to one can each day
* 32.8% for 1 to 2 cans each day
* 47.2% for more than 2 cans each day.

For diet soft-drink drinkers, the risk of becoming overweight or obese was:

* 36.5% for up to 1/2 can each day
* 37.5% for 1/2 to one can each day
* 54.5% for 1 to 2 cans each day
* 57.1% for more than 2 cans each day.

For each can of diet soft drink consumed each day, a person's risk of obesity went up 41%.
