Hey everyone,

It's been almost 3 weeks and I have seen and felt absolutely no results from using the 3-week system. I don't weigh myself (simply because that would push me over the edge) and I always judge my weight fluctuations on how my clothes fit.

After 25, these past few years I have noticed a continual weight gain despite exercise and eating pretty healthily. Everyone around me thinks I am nuts but I was just looking at pictures from 2003 and I couldn't believe that I was complaining then! I would do almost anything look the way I did and wear those clothes again. (let me note that at that time I was using Luprinol for like a year-- and of course going to the gym and eating as I do).

For a small girl (5'1) I have a pretty decent amount of extra baggage, of course most notably on my legs and butt. But now I am noticing that the one region of my body (upper) is all of a sudden gaining weight FAST. I think much of it is stress related and this is causing me to really lose it.

The 3 week system did nothing for me and only made me for worse for blowing $160!!!!

Now I want to return the system (I have a few days left) because it "guarentees" money back if not satisfied, yet it says only from the ship date is it returnable in 30 days (which is so redicilious because it takes a week to get in the mail and hello you need time to see if it is working).

Has anyone ever done this?

Also, can anyone suggest anything that may be the root of my weight issues (other than mental ones).

Thanks!!

Hello,
I am pretty sure that you can return the 3 Week if you do not like it.
If you could tell us more about your eating habits and daily routine maybe we can find a solution for your problem.

Good luck.

Hi there

As for my situation, I recently went back to the gym (I had left the country to travel for 6 months so no gym for that long) and went back to my MINIMAL of 3xs per week, of AT LEAST 1 hour. I usually stick to the precore elleptical machine because I feel it is full-body and no impact, but do vary and go for the treadmill too. My cardio is anywhere from 30min to an hour (depending on my energy and time constraints), and then I do a series (again-- varies tremendously depending on the two above factors) ab and arm exercises. I gave up (or fear) using the machines on my trouble zones (lower body) beacause I am not sure how much weight and reps and what sequence to do. I don't have time to "waste" and again, I fear the result of my ignorance when using the machines.

When at the gym, it is usually a pretty emotional experience because I look around at all the people with great bodies, with trainers, and simply busting their ass, and I am SO DISCOURAGED. I feel that I am not getting anything done and I am dilly-dallying, with no motivation. I know I am not working to my potential nor am I getting anything out of my time there.

I have tried classes but at my gym they are always full and VERY clicky, filled with gossiping and territorial jackasses. I did LOVE the kickboxing class they used to do in the smaller room but the teacher left and the new teacher is not my style (and the times of the class never match my schedule). (I have to say, kickboxing was MY BEST workout to date).

Also, I think I am pretty active. I mean, I can never sit still and always need to be going, doing, moving, whatever.

As for eating, now that I am back home I have gotten back to my regular eating habits. I start each and every morning with a protein shake (Spirutein) of one scoop powder, ice, and soy milk. I am in the field of education, so each year my "lunch" period is different. But for lunch I either had a mixed salad (with either lemon juice or balsamic vinegar, sometimes cashews, almonds, or walnuts, tofu, etc), or tofu on a grain (never white) bead with greens, tomato, rarely cheese, or soup, or something of the like (usually tofu-based lunch). Dinner varied from brown rice pasta, veggie patty, soup, etc. Sometimes I have to skip dinner due to evening classes or other obligations, so I usually have a meal bar, some trail mix, etc. (as you can see, I am a veg so my protein comes from soy based foods)

Honestly, my eating varies so much these days because I am always running around and sometimes I am going from 7am to 10pm!!

I realized that sometimes when I come home late I binge eat (though I have made efforts to not eat at night anymore). Also, I am a MAJOR stress eater.

I can also say that some of my favorie things (almost to a level of a hobby) are BEER and chocolate. Though, again, I have made efforts to cut the beer to only weekends, and limit my daily choc inake.

I am not a cake, pie, chips, etc kind of person. In fact, I do not consume foods with hydrogenated oils, high-fructose corn syrup, refined sugars, etc (unless "special occasion", i.e. party, wedding, etc)

Also, to further help me figure out situation, I am a 27, about 5'1, and god only knows how much I weigh. But my lowest (since like forever) was 117lbs and I stopped looking after 126. Honestly, I think I am just under 130 at this point. It is SO TRUE that after 25 your body changes. Like I said earlier, 3 years ago I think I looked my best eventhough I hated myself then.

I know I am not obese or even "fat" but I feel SO OUT OF SHAPE and like I am trapped in my body. I feel like a sausage in all of my clothes and REFUSE to shop because I REFUSE to go up a size. I have a serious amount of professional work clothes that I need to get into ASAP and this is reallt devestating to me.

I am toatlly lost as to what to do. I think Weight Watchers and all the point-based systems are not right for me.

Sorry this is so long-winded, I can go on FOREVER!!

Any suggestions?

Thanks
