Meridia and Wellbutrin
I have been given by my doctor Meridia 10 mg. along with 200 mg. a day of Wellbutrin SR. Is there anybody out there that has been taking the two.
I have to loose weight from the AD I have been taking over the years and look forward to Meridia giving me some help.
The Dr. said it was ok as Wellbutrin is not a SSRI and the pharmacist also said is ok.
I take 300 mg wellbutrin xl daily and doc also prescribed meridia to take with it. When I filled my perscriptions the Pharmacist practically begged me not to take the Meridia. The meridia wasn't covered anyhow so I decided to save myself 157.00 and not take it. Sometimes pharmacists are much more knowledgable in regards to drug interactions.

Meridia + Wellbutrin = bad drug interractions
Although your dr might say its ok, sometimes they too can makes mistakes. Make sure with your pharmacist that there are no interractions between the 2. According to every interractions website I've gone on so far, the 2 drugs are listed as being a bad combination.
