First Day on Cylaris |
Hi, I just started taking Cylaris today and am kind of worried about getting bad heartburn from drinking coffee. I know that I'm not supposed to, but I did anyway today. I'm a little queasy from it...mostly since I had it without food. I know, that was dumb. I only have a few pounds to lose unlike many people taking these pills. I love working out so I'm hoping that these pills will be able to bust me out of my 5 month long plateau. I usually workout 5-6 days a week, 2 times a day adding up to between 2 and 2 and half hours a day. My friends think I should become a trainer some day, since I love exercise so much, but I feel that until I can get my eating under control I would really be of no use to anyone else. I purchased Cylaris to see if it can keep me from eating as I do on a daily basis. Obesity runs in my family and after having two kids two years apart made me gain a ton of weight 10 years ago, I vowed never to be back there again. My weight after my second child went up to 180 and for being 5'1" that was big. Luckily, I became friends with a nutritionist and she basically told me to start keeping a food log and to keep my calories between 1200-1300 calories a day and to exercise for at least 5 days. I hated to exercise, so that was real tough when I started, but when I started to see the pounds drop after the first week, I got pumped! After a month of doing exercise for 5 days a week, I kicked my workouts up to 2 times a day. Then after another of doing that, I kicked it up to 6 days a week. In those 3 months I substituted all of my beverages for water, so no juice and especially no soda, mind you I was addicted to Pepsi...I had a can 3 times a day. My efforts weren't in vain, because after the 3 months I stepped on the scale and I went down from 180 to 118. I was shocked and since then workingout has saved my butt from hitting the overweight mark. This year, however, I've struggled with overeating and I've been slacking on my food journal, and the fact that I just turned 30 doesn't help either, since your metabolism plummets by 5% when you hit 30. I've gained 6 pounds since January even though I've consistently exercising 5 times a week. My only difference, though is the food intake...way too much, so I'm not burning enough calories. All that to say, and I'm sorry I've rambled, but I really hope this Cylaris thing works...otherwise, I may be in quite a bit of trouble . |

Day 4 on Cylaris |
Well, I haven't lost any weight yet since I started, but something I have noticed is that once you start you should do your very best to stay on schedule with your doses. Yesterday I was supposed to take 1 pill in the morning and 1 in the afternoon, but instead I forgot my dose in the morning and took two in the afternoon to make up for the missed dose. I was fine until this morning when I moved up to the 2 pills in the morning. I ate just fine this morning, but then 20 minutes later started feeling really weird. My stomach started hurting. It's really hard to describe and my arms got red and started to itch. I think I may have taken too much too soon. It's taken an hour but my skin is back to normal and I feel better now. Does anyone have any advice for me? Should I just go back to the 1 pill two times a day for another few days and then try again later? |

Day 5 on Cylaris |
| I decided to go back to taking 1 pill twice a day since I got sick yesterday. I'll probably try again next week. Thus far I haven't lost any weight, but I haven't gained any either which is great, especially since I haven't had time to exercise since last Tuesday, June 17. My eating hasn't been exactly healthy either...I've been eating on a ton of junk. I'm a huge brownie fan and it's one of those snacks I go straight for when I'm having a stressful day, so I've been having a lot of brownies lately. I'm going to start counting calories again today and am going to be running with my hubby for about 45 minutes today and maybe get in some cycling while I watch my TV shows. It's too bad this thread seems to be dying off...I'd love some support right about now. Oh well, I'll keep posting until I'm done with my bottle of Cylaris pills. Here's to hoping I can drop at least 2 pounds by the end of this week! |

Day 7 on Cylaris |
| I've tried to post this already, but it doesn't seem to have worked. I've lost a total of 2 pounds. I'm not sure if to attribute it to Cylaris or to loss of "womanly" water weight. I'll check back in tomorrow to see if I continue to lose even if it is just an ounce. |

Day 11: Completely Determined! |
| Well, I can't say I've been sticking to taking Cylaris before my meals. I remember to take it once a day and then forget the second time. Needless to say, I will be holding off on the two pills two times a day thing until Thursday or Friday of this week. I've gained a pound over the weekend, but I think again that it's because of my inconsistency with the dosages and my tendency to eat the wrong types of foods. I'll check back tomorrow, since I should be back on track. I'm hoping to drop at least a few ounces, since it is easier for me to stick to my diet while I'm at work. For those of you who are having the same problem as me, hang in there. Let's try to finish this out. We have nothing but weight to lose, after all. |

Day 14 |
I'm doing ok with the Cylaris thing. I guess I'm not losing as quickly as most because I don't have a lot to lose, but I'm halfway to my goal and that's fine by me. I've been continuing to workout at least once a day for 6 days. On days that I can, which is usually 3 times a week, I exercise twice a day. This morning I got side tracked completely after doing so well for 3 days straight and forgot to take my pill before I started to eat. I was so mad at myself for forgetting! I weighed myself this morning and I was at 120.4 lbs, which is almost a 4 pound weight loss in two weeks. I've noticed that my cravings have gone down considerably and that I'm not as hungry as I used to be. Before I had to have a snack 2 hours after I had breakfast and now I don't feel hungry at all until 5-6 hours after breakfast. Of course I try to eat something before I feel like I'm starving just to keep hunger at bay especially since I workout over my lunch hour, so this is how my day looks like right now.
7:00am: Take Pill
7:15am: Eat 2 Whole Wheat Waffles w/2 Tblspn Natural Strawberry Jelly or Plain Whole Wheat Bagel
10:45am: Eat 5-10 Whole Wheat or Multigrain Wheat Thins
12:05pm: Exercise for 35-40 minutes
2:30pm: Take Pill
2:45pm: Eat 1 Whole Wheat Waffle w/1 Tblspn Natural Maple Syrup
4:45pm: Eat 2 Chicken Tacos (Small Corn Tortillas, 1/2 a shredded grilled chicken breast, chopped lettuce, and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese)
6:00pm: Eat 2 Small Chocolate Chip Cookies w/1/2 oz Dark Chocolate Melted on Top
8:30pm: Exercise for 1 hr
10:00pm: Go to Sleep |

I forgot! |

| Since I probably won't be checking in until Monday. Happy 4th of July to those logging in and hang in there to those who are just starting on Cylaris! It works, it just involves commitment and some exercise. |

I'm a mother of four and stay busy, began watching my calorie intake and drinking water instead of caffeine drinks. I eat 3 normal meals a day, but I now weigh 193 lbs. on 29 February. I do get thirsty, but I don't have any type of cravings, Jitters, problems sleeping or headaches. I'm enjoying my brand new pants being too big already. From the reaction I've had with this so far I'm really hoping I can reach my goal of 155 lbs. |
Hi Maria, just wondering how you've done with the weight loss so far??
It's great to hear from someone who had such fantastic results so early on.
Please post about how you've been doing!
Thanks!

Day 18 on Cylaris |
Good morning, all!
This morning I weighed in and surprisingly only gained 4 ounces! Wow! I mean this fourth of July weekend was food packed and I only got a chance to workout for 30 minutes last night on my stationary bike, so I'm impressed! Anyhow, I started back again on my usual routine this morning, so I'll be back to working out twice a day again and eating smaller meals throughout the day as I've posted before. I'll be starting the two pills a day tomorrow. I'll tell you the truth, though, I'm a little concerned about those side effects I've experienced in the past, but I'm going to give it one more try. If I experience the same effects I'll just stick to taking one pill twice a day as I've been. Wish me luck! |

Goal for the Week |
Well, I've decided that my weight loss goal for the week is to lose between 2 and a half pounds to 3 pounds. I think I can do it! I feel like the little train that could. Ha-ha! I just realized this morning that I only have 6 pounds to lose. It seems so far away, yet so attainable at the same time. It's all about commitment and will power. Don't you love that word...willpower?! LOL! I laugh, because it has definitely been a struggle to remember to take these pills, you see, I'm not a pill taker. When I'm in excruciating pain I usually reach for tea or a fluffy pillow and a blanket. I'm not sure how much longer I can pop these pills, but like I said I'll keep trying these until the bottle runs out. Here goes nothing! |

Day 19 on Cylaris |
| I've just started to take the double dosage this morning. I took two pills with almost a pint of water then I ate 2 WW waffles w/natural maple syrup and half a banana...so far so good. It's been 22 minutes and no negative reaction yet. If I do experience a bad reaction I'll keep you guys updated, but as for now I'm doing alright. Oh and I'm down to 119.8 pounds, that's a pound less than I weighed yesterday...sweet! |

I have ready through the forum and the only thing i can see is the people who are actually losing weight are the ones who are eating right and exercising.
If anything, all this pill does is suppress your appetite, which is not healthy and it has a boat load of caffeine which obviously not healthy as well. |

Day 20 on Cylaris |
| What an amazing ride! I didn't know that I could lose weight so quickly, especially after months of not losing an ounce with traditional exercise and some dieting. My weight is now down to 118.6. Regarding what FREE said...it is true that NO weight loss pill can get the job done alone. If you want speedy results you'll have to put in a little effort. I figure if I'm taking these pills I'm being committed to losing weight. I've seen results and am sure that others will too if they stick to it and at least begin moving around a little more than usual. As for the "boat-load of caffeine," I can't speak for some of the people on this forum, but I can speak for myself...I usually have about 2-3 cups of coffee a day, so eliminating my regular coffee intake and substituting it with Cylaris is about the same amount of caffeine I would normally be consuming a day. I disagree that caffeine is bad for you, because it does have many health benefits, but I won't get into that. I wouldn't recommend this product if I didn't know it worked, and to this day this has been the ONLY weight loss supplement that has worked for me. Please don't misread this, I am not trying to be combative, but instead trying to prove a point based on my own personal experiences. |
