I don't know if this is Drew's diet or not, but I'm here to share some info on the protein diet. The advantages are:
- doesn't weaken muscles unlike other diets
- weight loss is caused by glicogen loss, not water as muscle mass as in other cases
- body is energized and not exhausted.
There are, however, certain disadvantages, too:
- people with kidney and heart conditions aren't recommended for this diet
- may cause intestinal disorders and constipation
- extra stress for liver and kidney
- water consumption should be increased to 3-4 litres/day
Protein diet should consist of 5 meals in order to avoid body suppression and vegetal proteins (in bread, fruit, dry vegetables such as beans and soy) are preferred instead of animal proteins. Green tea is almost compulsory for metabolism boost and anti-oxidant properties. |

Maybe an example would clear things up more, Dburgh!
Mornings:- 1 hard egg and 1 sausage
11 a.m.- 1 yoghurt
2 p.m.- 200g meat (prepared under any possible form) and 2 spoons of cow cheese
5 p.m.- 1 can of fish and tomato or three pieces of boiled chicken liver
7 p.m.- 1 glass of milk or 1 yoghurt
The ailments above aren't inflexible; you can't change them with similar ones. Most importantly, watch the amount and don't keep this diet more than two to three weeks every few months. Good luck! |
