| I want to loose about 20 ponds and I started to go to the gym. How many times do I have to exercise? I am going like 3 times per week, is this enough? |

Three times per week is good. And give yourself the weekends off too. No matter what always try to work yourself into a sweat. Be it running (cardio) or workout with weights. A good workout plan is good to have also. To keep you in track. And so you know what your workouts are going to be.
But how long you should workout it all depends on you. When I work out I don't worry about the time. I know my workout routine and I don't stop till it's done. Some people set a time frame which is good for people on the run. And for people who want to see what they can do in a certain time frame. |

I say that you will have good results with 3 or 4 times per month working with weights and one time per week a cardio training: running, basketball, swimming.
Working with weights is great but if you ad a cardio session you will get great results. |

If you are strength training & cadrio training, it is recommended to stregth train each specific muscle group 1 day then take a 24-36 hour break in between before working that muscle group again. If you work all muscle groups each time you strength train, only do this 3-4 days/week, & not consecutively.
For cardio training, it is recommended to get at least 30 min. of work, MOST days of the week. Everyday is fine, as long as it's not extremely strenuous. For basic activity such as walking/jogging, swimming, biking, it would be fine to do this everyday if desired. |

Working out isn’t enough, Tamarch |
|
|
| Working out isn’t enough, Tamarch! You should watch your diet, too! Try to eat healthy, first of all, cut down fats and bread and try to keep a strict meal schedule, depending on when you work out (not to close from your fitness time). It’ll be easier to maintain results afterwards. Let us know how you’ve been doing it! |

Day 7 of exercise and diet |
|
|
Hi everyone, I just discovered this site and I love it. Thanks for all the great postings- very informative.
Well, today is day 7 doing exercise and dieting. I've been doing about 45 min. of cardio for the past seven days, along with some light weight training and a kickboxing class where I almost died... I'm very out of shape. I'm 5'3" and weigh 173 with 38% body fat. My goal is to go down to 125. I'm following my hubby's diet, low fat, low carbs, 5 small meals, no eating after 7 p.m. Also today, I took my first dosage of ProVactin. I had actually bought this bottle a couple of months back but hadn't even opened it. I haven't done too much research on diet supplements, I bought this one because it said for the significantly overweight, which is exactly where i am right now... Surfing the web today, I have found a couple of positive testimonials....
Any advice from all of you exercise and diet experts? |

| Whatever supplements you may take, don't forget about healthy eating and exercise. They'll boost up your energy, anyway, so use it wisely. You should check out topics on diet supplements on the forum. They're well grounded. Good luck, tell us how it works! |
