Atkins diet and coffe

Hi All,
Iv started following Atkins diet, just started not to eat bread, flour, rice but now sombody told me that I con not drink coffe. Is this true?

I am not sure about this but decaf coffee is Ok. I know that this is uncool but caffeine and Atkins does not mix.

Ross is right caffeine and Atkis do not mix. I think it is because caffiene causes spikes in blood sugar that contradict the Atkins approach. Spikes in blood sugar cause carbohydrate cravings. It was hard for me to give up caffeine during my first week and a half on Atkins but after the withdrawls were gone I felt amazing. Good luck.
