Does drug differs depending on the country where you bought it????

coz i tried using Reductil before, 1st one came from Philippines, it was 15 mg and took only for 5 days and I lost around 3kgs., so decided to continue it and bought one box here in Dubai, but to my suprise I did lose only 2kgs in a span of 4 weeks that I took the medicine.

In philippines Reductil is a prescription drug, but here in Dubai it is an over the counter stuff, and anybody can buy it.

why Reductil from the Philippines seems to be mor effective?

Any explanation on these? coz I'm planning to buy it from Philippines but I'm afraid it will not affect me much anymore.....and its not cheap there as well.
