Day 1 on Alli |
|
|
So, its my day 1 on Alli. I started today because I have been going to Curves and working hard for 2 month now, 4 times a week, and have not dropped a pound a barely an inch.
I am short and not incredibly fat, but for my height, my body fat percentage is not even in the "good" zone.
Curves has helped, because I feel myself toning up. But, I just need to trim off to get down one good solid pant/dress size.
I'm giving it a shot and hope I am one of the folks below who lost 4 in a week!
***Fun snack tip!! Turkey bacon! 25 calories per strip. Its a great fix for a salty and crunchy need! |

Alli for me? Yo, I don't think so! |
|
|
Referring to the entry below, I have been thinking the same thing. If you just did what they tell you have to do and DON'T take the pill, any fool can lose weight. I am not sure crapping spontaneous Taco Bell meat filling is what I would call a placebo effect. That would be one heck of a dterrant for me. How can you run for 30 on a tread mill with runs???
| SisoftheMoon wrote: | I think that I agree with 'givemeabreak'. Come on people, if you limited your fat intake to <15grams a day and exercised for at least 30 minutes 4-5 times a week, you'd lose the weight! Period. And it wouldn't cost you $45 a bottle either.
However, I do know that some people need a placebo, someone to hold their hand and there is nothing wrong with that. Whether your support comes from a support group or a bottle, lose that weight any way you can! |

| Hi, Alli does work and it works really well. Just be sure to watch your fat intake. The treatment effects everyone talks about are no joke. |

Couple of suggestions
1. don't go too far from home until you know how the pill reacts
2. have some extra clothing with you
3. watch how much fat you eat |

ok i do exercise |
|
|
ok i am new here today is my first day of taking alli. i am excited cause not only do i work out all the time but now i have something to help me out on the side.
i have worked out 5-6 times a week (2hours a day) for almost 2 months. i only lost about 8 pounds.
i admit i kept drinking my soda. that is the one thing i would do.
my cousin told me about alli and how much she lost in 6 months taking it and working out (she lost 45 pounds)... she is a size 3 and 110 pounds!! she did have some side affects but you only get those if you eat alot of junk food and or drink while taking alli.
so this is my first day i want to lose all together (35 pounds) but for this month my goal is to lose 10 pounds. i am going to keep doing my work outs the same but see how much this really works
also i am a apple shape so does anybody know any good exercises to do to lose that selection? |

placebo or wonder pill...
this pill was designed to help those who have tried everything else and are willing to forgo the treatment effects.
this pill is motivation, it is a reminder to yourself what you can and shouldn't eat. the motivation... the side effects.
i have been on this pill for two weeks and my clothes are a little loser, my face a little thinner.
I have yet to go to the gym while on the pill (maybe tonight), but I feel good knowing that I can eat healthier. I have learned I can go out to restaurants and alter a dish (no melted cheese, whole wheat...) and still enjoy a night with friends and family.
I have learned that pills alone do not make you healthier, a new outlook on food is. Face it, people are over weight because they love to eat the wrong foods often and without control. This pill reminds you subtly that you should follow this right way.
I lost 30 pounds on hydroxycut and exercise...
I hope to lose the last 15 with alli and exercise.
good luck! |
i am interested in hydroxycut. could you tell me about it? |

Good Product So far works for me |
|
|
| It works for me so far without any issues. I lost 25 pounds with Alli. The trick is to follow your diet and exercise as usual. As with every diet pill its not miracle cure. It works great along with diet and exercise. No side effects so far. |

Hello
I read all of your posts and I am usually
over in the phentermine forum,
But I just had give my experience with
this "stuff" and it was not good.
I had been off of phentermine for 2 weeks and
therefore it was not in my system when
I tried "Alli"- I DID Follow the instructions
to the letter.
For me it was an experiment in terror!
To me all it is like is EXLAX on speed!
My little photo at the bottom of the page really says it all.
I really think the FDA boo boo'd on this one!
At least phentermine doesnt have you on the
potty all the time.In a poor economic snap like this,
Who has this kind of money to waste on exlax?
Shame on you! GlaxoSmithKline!
And FDA you suck!
You both could have done waaaaay better for consumers
trying to lose weight! What a mess!

New User |

Hi Everyone,
I just bought the starter Kit, and like most you, I have been looking for reviews on Alli Users. I am on a low fat diet, as of right now, and I will start taking the pill next week,as to what the kit recommended. My question to all of you is, how do you track your weight loss. Do you have a scale, or just by how your clothes fit, or can you just see the difference?
What are examples of meals that are appropiate for breakfast, lunch and dinner?
Please let me know. It will help me so much and I would appreciate it. I weigh about 170 lbs. and my goal is to lose 35 lbs. from 08.18.08 to 12/08. Am I being realistic?
Thank You for any responses. |
