I finally found a doctor that will prescribe phen on the 1st office visit (30-day supply)...so called weight-mgmt program of his.

1st office visit $75. Then he requires you to visit once a week for 4-weeks......each visit $60.

Now thats over $300...........would you all continue to go back after that 1st visit, once you get the prescription (if there's no advance pay for the remaining visits)? Unsure if I'll need him again, but that's a lot of $$$ for one-month's supply. What would you all do?

I actually think that I would. Are the meds included in the price? If so, I think that he can then adjust and tweak the dosage if the medication isn't working... Also, I guess he can monitor your health and progress.

I know it seems a little excessive, but when you really think about it, these pills are so hard to get now and you don't want to ruin your source in case you want to get them for a second or third month.

What city is your doctor in?

That is one reason why so many people look online...

$200 for three months suddenly doesn't seem quite as unreasonable.

Keep Going! I believe your doctor just want to keep track of your blood pressure..since that is one of the heaviest side effects. This is why so many doctors are so weary about giving them to us. I think it is a good thing. My doctor is having me come back in a month too because she want to check my blood pressure. I have never had a problem with blood pressure. Also you will definantly want more later and by this forum you can see they are hard to come by.

Best of luck to you! I did not know these pills existed. I just told my doc I was having so many problems with losing weight..that she wrote me this prescription. I went online to see exactly what it was and to see if anyone has used them before. This is when I saw all the sucess stories and how desperate people are for them. which leads me to see why docs don't like to prescribe them because they are also addictive. They usually at the most I learned prescribed no more than a 3 month supply. My doctor visits are coved by my insurance..but I have to pay for my prescription. which was not that bad at walgreens.

Anyway I see these babies work I am losing each day. follow my progress on my post.
