Hey Macmom!

Don't worry about it. It's okay to let loose every now & again for your own sanity.

I hear you on the artificial sweeteners, so that also means the same for Splenda, Stevia, etc? I don't drink sodas & I don't eat processed food anymore (since the cleanse I am TRYING). I also don't use my microwave anymore, which is an extreme challenge. It's not practical though. http://www.health-science.com/microwave_hazards.html

Macmom, what's your daily eating & vitamin schedule?

If I could make myself go to bed earlier then I would be fine. Tonight my goal is to be in bed by 10!

hello everyone ! I've been reading post here and I love the motivation you give to one another ...I just ordered my phen yesterday and have not received a tracking # as of yet.I pray this works out for me I am 32 years old and the proud mom of 3 (ages 16,3,2) girls but after the birth of my last baby my weight wont budge I eat pretty healthy and exercise often but I must admit I am always hungry and never seem to turn off the hunger switch. I was inspired today by your testimonies. Have a great evening I'll keep you posted.

Ok, I'm not sure about all the different stuff I've been hearing about caffeine and it's reaction to phen. Seems different people have different reactions. I am down 10 lbs now in almost a month. I don't understand how I can weigh myself 1 minute and be 3 lbs heavier 30 minutes later. It's not the scale because if I step back on 30 seconds later after the 30 min. weigh in.. it's the same. Plus, I did a 10lb dumbell test weight on it. I usually try to write down my weight in my WW tracker each week (my start day). I'm about obsessive about weighing myself. I think it's a bad habbit I've gotten into. I need to stop that! Anyhow. I really enjoy hearing about everyone's successes and trials too. I know this forum provides much needed support that many of us don't have at home, work etc... My b/f is very supportive of my W L goals. I feel lucky. I am a tad worried on becoming dependent on them though. I've been reading in other places about dependency etc.. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Hi Sharon. It's great that your boyfriend is so supportive. I don't think many of my friends are as supportive right now, but I think it's because they are putting off "getting healthy" each week. Of course they care about me, but it's funny how when someone sees you starting to get into something & getting committed they have a lot of negative things to say.

I don't think it's anything wrong with support from others, but as we all know there can be fluctuations & one day if your "support" is not being supportive do you have enough will IN you to keep going. What I really mean is become your BIGGEST supporter & of course we are all here for you too!

I have a coworker who is on phen too, and her b/f freaked out completely the last time she was on it.
I definitely agree that we are our #1 support. If our minds aren't in it.. then well.. the lbs come back

Yeah I know. That's why you guys & the other 2 forums I am registered on are the ONLY people that know I'm on it.

I know all my friends & family would judge me & tell me I didn't need it & all I have to do was XYZ. In college I was a fitness fanatic & I know that depression has led me to the state I am in now. I became an emotional eater & at the time I didn't care about the consequences. Phen is assisting in getting the old "Esquire" back! Laughing

Okay I am hogging the Post tonight, but are any of you watching Extreme Makeover? I LOVE the line the Stylist told the girls, "Clothes tell you much more about Weight Loss than the scales!" Great to hear that again! I'll take it!

Well I'm down from a size 20, into a tight 16. I've done this much on my own.
I just took my first phen, and it seems to be taking away my appetite.

The best place to discuss how your weight loss is going and terrific support is a place called SparkPeople.

sparkpeople.com

They have over a million users and there are thousands of forums to choose from.
You can even type in your own recipe and it tally's the fat grams, protein, calories.. it's an awesome site... Can't believe it hasn't been on Oprah or something. You get your own page, where you can click on icons that you have put there to go back to places you like, you can journal and make it public or private, has a nutrition tracker, exercise tracker, weight loss tracker... it's just HUGE.

Good luck to everyone

I know I know, supposed to be asleep by 10 & it is 12....But I am in bed!

I LOVE SparkPeople & I am a member. They just REALLY frown upon any weight loss supplements/drugs on that site.

Wow! Look at all of the great posts. I hadn't checked in a couple of days and it was nice that it took me a few minutes to get caught up. I had a great weekend, but for some reason sort of flew off the handle yesterday. My husband is out of town and I let myself revert to some "secret eating" habits. But that was yesterday and I'm refocused today.

Okay, maybe if someone tells me every day that I could get a brain tumor from Diet Coke I might actually be able to stop. Smile

I am really trying hard only to weigh in on Fridays. I do the whole scale obsession thing too but I find it works against me if the news is good or bad. When I'm higher than I think I should be, it can give me the "poor me" excuse to have a splurge. When it is good scale news, I can talk myself into being bad. So the scale needs to stay locked up until Friday! Plus, so much can make the scale tell you different things. A pint of water weighs a pound so just remember if you're drinking a lot and haven't been able to get rid of it, that's extra weight!

I wasn't going to tell my husband I was on Phen, but my best friend didn't know that and asked me about it in front of him. I haven't told him the whole story about what it actually is.

Hope you all have a great day.

Hey LeighHop!
At least you are back on track, but what "secret eating habits" might those be? Please share!

I know what you mean about the scale. I used to weigh almost every time I walked in the bathroom. I only record my weight on Monday mornings. I do drink a LOT of water. Maybe I should take a water pill?

Imworthit: From everything I've heard that is pretty standard with us-pills. Most have been getting their pills within 3 days. I hope they work out for you.

As for me today: I did not take Phen today. Last night I felt really weird & I had some crazy chest pain. From what I read it could have been heartburn, but I don't really know what that feels like & I am a HUGE hypochondriac. So, it kept me up really really late. I will start back tomorrow. I kept my calories in check though. Very Happy I am under 900 calories for today. I am also bummed that TOM is now FOUR days late, but I heard that this could happen while on Phen.

Take care everybody!

Esquire - I hope you are feeling better today! I've also read on other boards about Phen messing with TOM. Hopefully that will come through soon for you. I know what a pain it is when that doesn't go off as scheduled.

I've always been a secret eater, since the time I was a kid. I won't eat a lot in front of people, and then when I'm alone I do my "bad" eating. Monday wasn't terrible, it just wasn't in my plan. I feel like I'm always doing the two steps forward, one step back thing.

Anyone else sweating an increadible amount when exercising? Man, it just rolls off of me and soaks my clothes.
