Just starting day 2. This diet is the hardest I have ever done, the food is very unappetising, you can't get excited about a plate of raw tomato, boiled squash and gren beans!
I weighed myself this morning and was delighted to see a 1.5lb loss, it remains to be seen whether this is real or even continues for the next 3 days. It seems about the same weight loss that others on this site has seen though.
I am hoping that I can keep going for the rest of the time, but to be honest not sure. The weight loss is great incentive...
Will post tomorrow and let you know how I get on |

Just on started on day 3.
First the good news, the scales said a 5lb loss this morning which I am delighted about as I was hoping for a 6-8lb loss overall. I never believed the 18lb loss in the first place.
The bad news, the diet is way harder than I expected. Day 1 was relatively ok although the food is bad. Day 2 was unbelievably bad, I was hungry all day and felt light headed. Even drinking water didn't help other than going to the tolet every 1/2 hour. Its the morning of Day 3 now and a bit better. I have found that I quite like grapefruit in a morning. And I can cope with dinner (well sort of) but its the lunches that I struggle with. When you are really hungry 1/2 cup of green beans, tomatoes & celery just doesn't do it.
So far I think the diet is worth it for kick start to a healthy eating programme and it has definately taught me about portion size. I will continue to tomorrow lunch time and then that's it. I will probably do it again in a few weeks to get the weight moving.
I will post tomorrow morning with my final weight |

Total loss was 6lb which I am happy with. Have eaten normally today and still kept it off.
I totally agree it is unhealthy but all I can say is for me it worked and gave my weight watchers diet a bit of a kick having not lost anything for 3 weeks. I was looking for nothing more.
Yes it was hard and it has to be personal choice. My choice was to do it. And I might do it again next month if I hit a low point again. |

I have been lifting weight for so many years now, and i completely laugh when i come across with diets like this one...sooo many people have a misconception about dieting...everytime the word diet comes to their mind; they think about stop eating, or reducing calories to a minimum. folks, that's incorrect..you should not starve yourself, you shouldn't reduce calories to a minimum...these type of diets are not very good..yes, you can lose the weight (any one who eats almost nothing for 4 days will lose some weight) but you will tend to gain i right back..why? because you stopped feeding your body with carbs and once you enter into a carb mode diet, your body tends to react to it, and gain the weight back...the best wait to lose fat is to exercise and eat 4-6 a day (small meals). your diet should consist of a high protein and moderate to low carbs...each meal should include protein and carbs...and you should eat every 3 hours...why 3 hours? because your body will be busy all day burning calories, (active) and the result will be losing fat...dieting is not about stop eating, diet means eat the right portion and the right food, that's it, nothing more, nothing less. stop looking for a quick fix. there isn't a magic pill out there. just work hard...when you gain fat, it might take you years to get fat so do you think by following this diet you will lose all that fat in 4 days...nope....if took you a long time to gain it, it will take some time to lose it...but not 4 damn days....just go to the gym and be active....
my 2 cents on this topic |

| I have done this diet 8 times and every time I have lost 18 pound to the ounce, I totally believe in it, but I have never done it back to back. I have done it once a month and stayed on a regular high protien low carb diet the rest of the month and I have lost 125 pnds over the last 10 months. IT WORKS! I use it as a jump start each month! |

4 Day grapefruit Diet |
|
|
There are several "free" diets on the internet that I think are very similar. I've been doing these 4-day diets for over 20 years. These went around when I was in highschool and that was over 20 years ago. The ingredients are all very very similar, and I would loose about 12 pounds in 4 days.
just google "4 day grapefruit diet" |

Eat a damn salad.
Don't drink Sodas. Not even diet.
Go take a walk in the middle of the day.
Don't Eat protein within 5 hours of sleep.
Don't drink any calories, sugars...even juices
you will all slowly but healthily loose weight.
How can you expect to remedy the body of
a condition you have caused in yourself over an onslaught of
bad habits for years. in a matter of days?
Take a breath each morning, and quit numbing your self with
excuses and drugs--caffein, cigarettes especially
Realize your own self worth and allow your choices and decisions
to reflect them. |

I tried the diet it was so hard at first but then I got use to it. I lost 9.8lbs in 4 days...which was not that bad.
I think I am going to do it again maybe in couple of weeks. |

This is my second cycle on this four-day diet plan. I did it last month for four days and had lost 6 llbs.
The diet is extremely difficult as it does not permit any form of salt or sugar (not even Splenda!) But it's do-able as it's only for four days. I think it's good to use this diet plan as a jump-starter or once a month semi-fast.
I have not gained the 6 llbs back. Today will be my first day of my second cycle.
Will keep you all updated on my progress. If anyone is doing the plan this week, do share. It would be fun to do it together and we can share the ups & downs of the four days!! |
