i've been taking reductil since january and have lost three and a half stone.you have to eat at least five fruit and veg a day,cut down meal sizes and take more exercise.i have started walking just a little bit at first and gradually built up now i walk the one and a quarter miles into town just working on doing it back now.

you need to excercise. it's vital for reductil to work properly.

And you need to eat veg and fruit to make sure you get a decent fibre intake as well as nutrients, since reductil can cause constipation.

If you don't excercise, you can lose muscle tissue instead of fatty tissue since reductil essentialy causes your body to go into a slight starvation mode, since calories are reduced.

Pay attention to your body - are you eating because you are hungry? or out of habit?

I don't follow any slimming plans. I make sure I eat a decent low-fat breakfast - usually a boiled egg, a slice of wholemeal toast and a piece of fruit. I then take my reductil. Lunch usually consists of a salad or chicken and some steamed veg - I barely eat dinner since I rarely feel hungry enough - if I do I have a childs portion size of whatever I've cooked for my boyfriend (we never eat fried foods or use alot of fats. we cook alot of stir fries, brown rice based dishes and japanese style dishes - where vegetables are the star of the meal and rice and meat are the accompaniments).

I try and drink at least 3 pints of water a day too.

I generally get to the gym 3 times a week and do a mid-high intensity workout for 45 minutes. Working out kills off any appetite I have, but I try and have some fruit after it so I won't wake in the middle of the night hungry. I also take a multivitamin to supplement my nutrition intake.

First and foremost - Reductil is NOT a magic pill. It won't work if you don't work for it. You have to pay attention to what your body is saying intently. You have to excercise and eat correctly for LIFE not just for now - otherwise when you come off them you'll just put the weight back on because you suddenly don't have that synthetic message saying you're full.

now now tammy ... you know you have not been on these tablets for only 2 months dont you my dear,, as you have been on them two years and lost lots of weight ,,,, ladies and gentlemen of the forum, if you would like to go to ukmedix forum.,.. you will see this psycho posting the exact same messages, but she has actually been on them two years... she is off her rocker, so i suggest you dont waste your time on her !!! ... there are a lot of us who are genuine about this <myself included> and it infuriates me when i see time wasters and attention seekers like her!!!!

hi, ive been on reductil since july 2008, and i have lost 20lbs so far. its come of slowly but i am persevering. The weight loss has slowed down now though so i have started aerobic classes twice a wk. does this tablet work the same even if you dont eat ie as in if your not hungry at dinnertime so skip a meal do you still lose weight

I think that aerobic exercise 3 times a week.. and the diet suggestions listed above should give you the best chance of losing the weight!
Best of Luck! & don't give up!

Im trying it and lost 12lbs in 2 weeks. I didn't eat much anyway but eat even less now. Walk dog every day. Unfortunately can't afford the gym etc at the moment.  Im hoping it doesnt slow right down. Hate running but thinking of doing a little one (in the dark) lol.

I am on reductile for the last three weeks and have lost 16lbs. pretty good start I guess. Doing very light exercise with calorie controled diet. That is 900 to 1100 calories a day. Need to lose another 28lbs. Hope I am going to reach my goal soon.
