As I said before. You have to excercise. You have to eat fruit and veg. You will not lose weight and will put any weight lost back on if you continue in that manner. Your body is an extension to your mind, it is it's house - treat it like one.

Don't take reductil with coffee. You should have it with a glass of water, as hot drinks (and also any acidic drinks like cola or orange juice) can affect the capsules (or any medication for that matter - only take tablets with other liquids if told to do so, for example milk).

What are you putting in your sandwich? And what type of bread? A baguette with cheese, salad and ham might seem a healthy option, but stick butter on it and it could rocket to 700 calories - More than a meals worth.

And remember, the best weight loss is slow weight loss. The slower it takes to come off, the harder it will be for your body to gain it back. Ideally you should not lose more than 1-2 pounds a week.

My goal is a pound a week, I'm losing it faster than I'd like and don't mind if it slows down - but I exercise too. It's the only way I can make sure my metabolism doesn't slow down, and hopefully speeds up more.

Hi Mresta
I have been taking my tablet with coffee since i started I am putting wafer thin ham or chicken in my sandwich with low fat spread . The bread i have is small wholemeal sliced . Ive never exercised as i feel so lethargic and have not got the energy i could not do it for long as i get out of breath with having alot to lose .

Thanks maybe this is where im going wrong then.

Are you following a slimming plan with reductil or just sensible eating

Thanks again

It's ok - I'm just eating sensibly. I don't do plans, since they never work for me - they're too regimented.

That said I don't deny myself either - If I want chocolate, I'll have a couple of squares of really good quality chocolate and give the rest away.

Even if you feel lethargic, you should still make the effort to exercise - start out slow and build up gradually. No one expects you to run a marathon.

Try jogging or power walking around the lounge room for 10 minutes, then the next night, try 15 and gradually build from there - you only have to do 30 minutes of cardio a day to burn calories effectively. On a good day I can get up to an hour of fairly intense cardio.

I used to 181lbs and hated exercising, but I said "fuck it, I have to do this". I originally had 4 stone to lose, now I'm down to less than 2 to go.

I hate to be bleak - but not exercising means you've just given yourself a slow death sentence. Saying "I'm too tired. I get out of breath". Just sounds like excuses - if you're serious about losing weight, you have to exercise. Everyone gets short of breath at exercise, everyone feels tired - but you have to think past that, because they only way to not feel as tired or out of breath is to increase your fitness.
