It said 2 to 3 challenges and the August 1 challenge has almost come to a close and the October one seems so far away and there's no way I'll lose 50lbs by then !!! So, I thought I'd start a new challenge!

So, here's the challenge.

LOSE 10LBS BY SEPTEMBER 1ST (THAT'S AN AVERAGE LOSS OF 2LBS/WEEK)
I've lost 16lbs so far and am on 10mg Reductil.

My goal is to lose 10lbs in the 5 weeks until the 1st of September. I'm a teacher and the 1st of September is the traditional first day of school and I'd like to wow my coworkers with my new slimmer body!

So, who is with me? It's 5 weeks away and I'll start first. It has to be said, I'm visiting my home country from the 5th August until the 23rd August so it'll be extra hard for me to resist my favourite foods but I will have small portions once just to get the taste!

Here are my goals.
I'mm 5'7" tho I think it says 5'8" on my profile!!

Start weight:
93kg/205.26lbs/14st 9.26lbs)

Present weight:
86kg/189.2lbs/13st7.2lbs

Total loss so far 7.3kg/16lbs/1st 2lbs

Challenge September 1st Goal weight
179lbs (81.4kg/12st 11lbs)

Week 1 (August 4) Goal---------------------> 187lbs (85kg/13st 5lbs)
Week 2 (August 11)Goal---------------------> 185lbs (84.1kg/13st 3lbs)
Week 3 (August 18 ) Goal--------------------> 183lbs (83.2kg/13st 1lbs)
Week 4 (August 25) Goal--------------------> 181lbs (82.3kg/12st 13lbs)
Week 5 (September 1) Goal-----------------> 179lbs (81.4kg/12st 11lbs)

Most of the way there to my first goal...

After a particularly bad time of the month and a touch of a bad tummy, I'm down this morning to 84.5kg/185lbs/13st 3.9lbs!

Whoo hoo. Hopefully it stays off!!

Hi, I have never joined a forum, but I could use ecouragement and this forum sounds like a great way to help each other.
I have 2 children 14 and 17, high school Shocked...Very Happy just kidding.
Anyway I had 3 back surgeries in 9 years and gained 30 lbs. I have 3 sisters and all they do is compete about looks and weight and its really tireing when its almost impossible it exersize very much.
I would love to lose 10 lbs by September 1st, so when I see them I'm not the fat sister! Its to depressing and I usually really want to stay home.
By the way I know 30 lbs doesn't sound like alot but I am only 4' 10'' so it is worse than it sounds. be back to talk soon and everyone have a great day. Very Happy

Yay! Thanks for joining! So happy to see activity here!

Well day one and not so bad here. My weight this morning was still at 149.8 and am very ecstatic by it since I cheated so badly on my bday. I did go for a walk yesterday and again today, while carrying my 14 lbs - 2 month old in a front pack carrier and pushing my 48 lbs - 3 year old in his jogging stroller. I started walking normal speed while doing squats with every step, I looked ridiculous, but oh well. Then I picked up speed after about 1/2 mile, walking normal. I haven't walked very far since the heat is exhausting.

Need to find a way to break from this plateu! I've been at 149 since July 20th, ugh! Thank you and hope everyone's doing great!!!
WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Just saw you are in Modesto! How is the heat? It's been yucky humid down here, hard to go walking in. I am further south, about an hour north of Sam Diego, but went to high school in Fresno. Okay, that has nothing to do with weight loss, but I don't care! Razz

Hi,
thanks for replying ! How was your day? Smile
I just moved to Modesto last Sept, and the heat is killing me! It's horrible, you have to have the ac on all day, but once you step out it makes it even worse. My kids are the ones that are suffering even more. My little one has a heat rash, and is constantly fuzzy. Don't blame him. As for my 3 year old, he's constantly in his pool, or trying the slip and slide. ( I've been doing that too... hehe! )

Furthest south I've ever been was last December, we went to Indian Wells, very pretty. Now we're looking to move to WA.

Hi there,
How are you doing so far?
I haven't weighed myself yet, trying to see if I can hold out for at least Sunday. Just thought I'd drop in and say hello!

I lived in Bremerton and Poulsbo in 2002 - 2003 while in the Navy, I too miss the rain. We're taking a trip on the 12th to go up, we want to look around and see what's up. Hopefully we'll be able to move up there in the next year.
How was your day?

Wow! You've already started loosing, woo hoo!!! I haven't dared to weigh myself yet. I am going for longer walks with the kids strapped on to me. lol I'm even using the carrier in the home for housework stuff, figured an extra 14 lbs would help.
I'm just trying to stay motivated, continue drinking lots of water and just keep moving, one way or another! Ttys...

Overall I'm pretty happy with my efforts, I noticed that even though the scale hadn't gone down on the first 8-1-07 since 7-20-07 my clothes were getting big on me. And today I wore my pre-pregnancy jeans!!! Size 7/8's!!! They weren't lose like they were when I bought them, but I didn't look like a stuffed sausage in them either, lol That's what my mom said I looked like when I tried them on July 5th.
Sooo... with that to continue to motivate me, I'm going to keep pushing myself to continue this journey. Keep walking longer and faster, keep jogging when daddy's with the boys, Billy Blanks and watching everything I eat. Tomorrow I'll start my food journal, I need to keep track of what, when and how much I'm eating.

Hope everyones doing great,

Wendy

Your doing great babyjameshood! I can't strap on my youngest anymore, unless I want to kill my back completely! He weighs lbs and is a year old. I don't think he would like it anymore! Laughing
Keep up the good work, and keep judging how you are doing with how the clothes fit. Remember that muscle weighs more than fat, but takes up less space, so you could be losing fat, gaining muscle, and still going down in dress sizes. And that is what we love right?

See you all later!
