Tammy- Losing weight is hard, and yes there is more to life than losing weight. I have felt like you do, and it is hard. What I would suggest is try keeping a tally of all the calories you eat in a day. I did this and I was suprised! I thought I was eating well, but it added up so fast. Since checking everything I have been able to lose more, and am able to make the changes needed to make it a lifestyle change, not just a diet. I also walk a TON! Like 6-8 miles a day. It is a lot, but it works. There are sites that you can see how many calories many foods have.
I would say, if you really feel like you can't lose weight, write down EVERYTHING you eat, and the calories, and all the excersise you do. Keep a journal going for a few weeks. Then if you haven't lost weight, and you don't see where you may be lagging, take it with you to your doctors office. That way you can show them what you are doing. They may suggest ways of changing it, or at least it will show them you have been trying and they wont send you away with "diet and excersise" You will have given them a much better picture of what you are doing. Hope you feel better soon! Check back in here and let us know how you are doing! |

Its really important that you don't give up. But then again, don't resort to extreme methods of losing weight. If you've been through as many diets as I have, I suggest you check out my sig. There I have one program that has actually worked for me. Well, good luck and keep going at it!
My sig doesn't seem to be working, so heres the link to the diet: easylnk.com/?1489 |

Hi Tammy,
I think losingtowin hit the nail on the head. You need to keep track of your calories, but eating healthy alone isn’t enough. You need to find an exercise activity that you like. Losingtowin uses walking as her exercise activity but there are millions of different activities you could try to loss weight. I put together a free-weight-loss-excercise-program.50webs.com free weight loss exercise program that can show you how to track your calories and find an exercise activity you love. If you think about it, there are millions of exercises that are exciting and fun to try. You could try aerobics, swimming, dance, or hiking. I bet you can think of a lot more.
Best wishes,
Jay |

Just a thought Tammy.......
are you on any Meds by chance?
You know some meds work against you losing weight. Some birth control meds I know for sure.
I would talk to your doctor and see what he thinks |
