I'm losing any weight. |
|
|
| I'm 5'7 and weight 150. I would like to weigh 135. I've been on Alli for over a week and the weight has not budged at all. I eat a pretty healthy diet and I exercise about 3 times a week. I have had some side effects here and there, but the weight is not budging. |

I'm just like you... I am 5'7 150 and want to be 125 though. I just started it monday, no side effects but I really have been watching what I eat. I think it's fear that's keeping me from eating bad stuff... Unfortunately I don't have a scale.... I'll have toi start weighing myself at the gym, do you think they rig those?? I think it could be water weight for you, are your clothes fitting better?
I'm glad that they finally came out with a pill that makes me fear overeating.. I could totally down a whole pizza and two cheeseburgers in one sitting.. I know I am not morbidly obese, but I sure can eat and it's finally catching up with me.. |

That is because alli is for people who need to lose A LOT of weight not 10-15 pounds!! |

| 150 lbs at 5'7 is not a bad weight. I am 5'5 and looked great at 150 ( of course I am not 150 anymore!). You don't need to looklike a stick insect! |

| I am 5'7 and 150 lbs too. Been exercising for three weeks, taking alli for 4 days and "trying" to eat better...NO RESULTS! I haven't even had "treatment" effects. Why not? I want to weigh 135 |

| lol i tried alli. what a rip off. they need to make phentermine an FDA approved over the counter pill. I dont see why not because alli is xenical, just half the dose. if some one wants to make it full dose all they have to do is double up. I mean sheesh... |

i agree |

| I agree with the phentermine remark.. When I took it before, it really curved my appetite and gave me so much energy. I wish that it was FDA approved as well.. |

Alli is not for the average person who wants to lost 1-10 pounds. It is for obese people who need help because they are so far out of normal range they need help not absorbing calories.
You also mentioned exercising. It could be that you are exercising too much. Muscle weighs more than fat so the scale may not say it but your clothes should. |

I don't know how well you are hydrating - for the body to break down fats, it NEEDS water - if there isn't enough, the metabolism slows down. The other things I've noticed, that other people have mentioned as well, is that coffee really seems to work well with Alli. Some people complain of constipation on Alli but it seems with coffee - especially coffee then exercise, you'll empty out - on a schedule you can identify. I don't know how long or intensely you are exercising - more than 30 minutes at a rate where you are breathing faster seems to make a difference between maintaining weight and losing it - but again, everyone is different.
Good luck! |
