First, you cannot really lose weight in only one area of your body.  So to lose weight/fat on your arms you will have to lose over your whole body. The benefit is that you will get leaner all over, which is obviously healthier. You do this with the tried and true. Exercise and the right nutrition.

Let me know how you do. I may be able to offer some other suggestions.

I have a more masculine build now since having my son as well.  I have been reading that weight loss through cardio helps burn fat...and muscle.  Lift light weights so you don't lose muscle tone at 12-15 reps, 3 sets.  I have been noticing mine decreasing in size.  Massive muscle gain in women is a result of the hormone called androsterone at elevated levels (causes facial hair, chest hair, and other random manly things too).  I haven't been tested, but I know that my hormonal levels changed during and after pregnancy with my son (who has leg hair, armpit odor...and is only 3....you get the picture).  Anyways, cardio burns fat and muscle.  Your body needs lean protein to generate those massive muscle gains in the first place.  Try a reduced calorie diet focused on fruits and veggies, dairy, and grain....consume lean protein but do not make that the bulk of your diet...or you will bulk up.  I find that when I lift my weights first, I'm already in my fat burning heart rate.  I only do 20 mins of cardio....bump yours up to about 45 minutes.  Good luck with your muscle loss endeavors.

I'm guessing your best bet is to reduce your overall body fat level then see what your arms look like.

I too face a similar kind of a problem and had been hitting the gym twice a day to reduce the bulky arms of mine.
I am doing triceps and a little bit of wrist exercises and I am able to see some results as I am doing them for the past 2 months. I found some more exercises here. Thanks.

arm circles would help a lot, go fowards and backwards, light lifting would help too, to get it toned.  The elliptical machine at the gym works out your arms pretty good too.

to all the women who 'prefer' to pathetic, weak little princesses - ask yourselves why it is that you hate strong, healthy looking women.  where are you getting these ideas about how women 'should' look?  the media?  your father's attitudes towards women or towards your maturity?  men who are insecure in their masculinity and fear powerful women?

i ask you, what could be hotter than having an athletic female body? so, you're muscular, so what? so you go, 'ok, i look more dara torres or stephanie rice than angelina jolie.'  celebrate your strength and athleticism.  put your gift to good use - join a volunteer firefighter association, or play sports - and enjoy living in your body.  achieving your potential is sexy.  stop letting someone else tell you what's attractive.

while it's true that men tend to have larger muscular potential due to sex hormones, testosterone is not the only reason some people look muscular. there are different types of muscle fibers and more muscular looking people have more of the short kind.  this is true for both men and women and has nothing to do with testosterone or gender. sprinters and swimmers tend to have more short fibers; marathoners and cyclists tend to have more long.  so you can stop stressing out about your femininity.

also, if you're an athlete, bmi and body weight are a terrible indicator of anything.  the issue is overall health and fitness, and body composition.  the point isn't to be as small or as light as possible, but to be as fit, healthy and long-lived as possible for your particular body.  that is the position that any responsible trainer will work from - their job is to help you be healthy and fit, not to make a grown woman look like a twelve year old girl.

the biological fact is that women (and men) who are strong, with good muscle tone are healthier - less likely to suffer from osteoporosis, back pain, limited mobility, diabetes and insulin resistance, heart problems and a host of other age-related illnesses as well as hormone balance and sex-hormone related cancers. women's bodies, like men's were made to move and perform strenuous exercise and muscle allows you to do this.  that's a scientific fact.

so, if you think it's 'feminine' to walk around with an insulin kit or get a mastectomy or be rocking a sexy chest scar from open-heart surgery, then by all means, continue to worry about not being threatening to men and avoid weights for fear of being 'unfeminine'.

otherwise just stop picking on yourselves and like yourselves and be proud of your strength and enjoy the long life that goes along with fitness.

I wish i could tell u a magic answer
Fat in arms-------------
As far is I know there is no way to control a certain fat level in a certain part of the body. The body decides where to store the excess fat. the solution is to overal reduce the fat in your body and ur arms are going to look fine and toned.
Manly Muscle Mass in women's arms ----------------
Unlike fat, If your work out a certain part of your body those muscles are going to get lean. Not rocket science.
1. More intensity and low reps produce the SIZE
2. Low intensity more reps produce more cuts (defined muscles)
Your choice which way to go
I do both one week Option A, Week two option B
