I had lipo |

| I have had liposuction. It is not a form of weight loss. I would gain all my weight in my stomach so I had it sucked out. Great at first, but it really is true about gaining it back in other areas. Your body only has a certain amount of fat cells. You do not get more fat cells as you gain weight. The cells you do have just grow and expand. Therefore, if you remove them from one area and you gain weight the fat has to be distributed to fewer fat cells in other areas. Basically, I used to have a fat stomach. I no longer have a fat stomach but now I have fat legs and arms. You just move the fat to odd places. Unless you conquer your weight problem in just changes the problem you have. Best to be used as fine tuning once you reach and maintain your weight loss goals. |

Ok I had liposuction and a tummy tuck! I love it. I had it done in 1997!!! Yes, I can gain weight in other areas, but my jeans always fit good in the front, istead of having all that left over baby skin. I really love it and I would have it done again in a heart beat.
BUT, keep in mind .... IT HURT LIKE HECK!!! |

| There are many options out there well worth to consider. What I know is that liposuction is not a life long solution. So before going for it, you should take a look into all options available and suitable for you. Going on in a surgery should always be recommended as the last option. |

found an article that talks about exactly this issue, whether or not liposuction should be used as a weight loss tool or not:
