Suggestions for losing 40 pounds |
|
|
Hi! I'm 20 years old and am finally realizing how unhealthy my lifestyle is..heh. I am 5'9" and weigh 190 pounds, with a relatively large stomach and pretty thick thieghs.
I am planning on going to the gym this summer to lose about 40-50 pounds (I figure my target weight should be 140ish) and get my muscles toned a bit.
What's the best way to do this safely and efficiently?
Thanks! |

You can get a mix training including working with weights and incorporating in your training cardio exercises (running, treadmills, swimming) everything that makes you sweat.
Working with weight will give you body a muscular tonus and increase your metabolism. This will lead to a faster burn of your fat cells.
Adding some cardio exercises will help you even more. Try to mix them together.
Go 3 or 4 times per week to the gym, work hard and regardless of the program you are following you will see results.
Good luck. |

Hi Im also 5 foot 9 female ( though slightly older then you )
Ideal weight for 5'9" is 130 to 165
My goal is 145lbs
Since you have joined a gym you should check and see if they offer an instructor to show you the machines and make a personal workout plan for you.
I had been going to the Y and they did that. I made an appointment for a time to meet with the instructor she weighed me, measured me, and calculate my body fat. Then she showed me what machines to use and how much weight and how often. Every 6 weeks i was suppose to make another appointment and we would update everything ( increase reps or weight etc.)
Call your gym and ask! It's SOOOO worth it. |

There are so many ways to burn fat. Exercise with proper diet plans is one of them.
You can join Gym to burn calories but proper guideline should be very necessary. Without proper guideline this may be harmful so take care.
there is some confusion between Exercise and diet plans which one start first . According to me Exercise and diet plans should be started at same time. One another alternative of Gym is diet pills.
Bye....... |

Hi Jessica,
Welcome to the Weight Loss Forums.
I think that your question would have a better response if you would start an new thread. Something called "Beachbosy.com Review" may give more answers to your question.
Good luck.
BTW, beachbosy.com seems to be down. |
