Haven't tried that before and Im not sure if I'd do it.

Im skeptical about it's effectiveness because of the lack of information about these "cleansing" drinks.

Its a multilevel marketing thing. If you saw it here by "somerichchick.com" then it you buy it through going through her site name she gets paid. I don't think she cares if it works or not. Losing weight takes work, and if it comes off really fast, it will come back on really fast. Using just shakes to lose will end up failing in the end, since your body will store the extra calories you consume when you start eating normal food again. You wont know how to eat properly. Change your eating habits and watch your portions, not for a diet, but a lifestyle change. That way when the weight comes off you will have a new eating habit and it will stay off.

I'm an Independent Associate for Isagenix, so I'll be as straight forward as possible for you. The 9 day cleanse is the signature product, and usually people see good results (5-15lbs lost in 9 days). You cleanse for the first two and last two days (liquid diet) and the in between days you drink meal replacement shakes and have a sensible meal. My wife has done two cleanses and lost about 7lbs each time. I am a personal trainer and recommend the cleanse program to my weight loss clients as a kickstart to their programs, but inform them that there is no "magic pill", in that this will work, and they can keep it off if they eat sensibly from then on out, but if they go back to eating like crap, odds are the weight will come back.
It's true that it is a network marketing business as well, which after seeing our personal results (I actually started my first cleanse today), we joined to get discounts on the products for ourselves, but also to offer it to our clients because we believe in it.

Bottom line, if you're committed to eating healthier, this is a great way to get toxic buildup out of your system and kickstart a good nutrition program(I hate the term diet). Feel free to visit my site in my signature, and ask any other questions through there. Best of luck to you!

I'm with the Fitness Instructor. Short term weight loss is short term weight loss. You want to lose weight and keep it off you must retrain your mind as well as your body. There are many reasons people are overweight, some medical most a sendentary lifestyle, poor eating habits, way too many processed foods not enough healthy food. There is no permanent quick fix to losing weight and staying in shape. NONE...it is a life commitment taking care of one's self...PERIOD.

Scott -

Since you are a PT I will ask you (and if anyone else can answer my question I would appreciate it!) I am a new mom Mady will be 6 months on the 18... I am still breastfeeding her but I REALLY want to loose the weight that I put on while being pg and prior to being pg... Before I go married and even before I met my hubby I weighed 125... 2 years after we met I weighed 140... then 8 mos beore we got married I was 155... after we got married I did Weight Watchers and did great I got down to 140 but then I lost my job went back to 150... and 2 months after that he went to GA for 4 months but while he was gone I went back down to 145... when he came home (last year) we went out 2-3 times a week and I got back to 151... then I got PG... I gained 50lbs the day before I delivered I weighed 201.8 lbs... I know I had a baby inside and she weighed 6.8, her placenta was 6.9 and I had 21 cm of fluid... butafter that I went down to 180 and have been STUCK.

Breasfeeding is supposed to help you burn more calories, I dont eat more than I used to, I dont work I stay home with my baby and 8 (yes Cool dogsI try to go walking every other day with the giant puppy but my baby doesnt do well in the heat... a friend of ours is a PT and she is (and has) competing for the Miss Fitness America (?)... She totally intimidates me, I feel like a COW when I am around her and just dont feel totally comfortable talking to her, knowing she is judging me... but she offers Isogenix to her clients as well so here is my question...

Can I safely take Isagenix while I breastfeed? The reason i have been so catious about losing weight is because I know that loosing a tremendous amount of weight will release toxins into my milk which will cause my baby to get sick but is there a safe way to loose the weight and cleans my body?

Doing a cleanse while breastfeeding would be a bad idea. Just like you said, when you cleanse those toxins are being flushed out of your body and would definitely be in your milk.

I am a student Dr. and I agree, I wouldn’t start something like this while breast feeding. In addition to the toxins your body will be releasing who knows if this stuff will be excreted in your milk. You could end up giving your baby a second hand cleanse. Your baby needs nutrients, not a deprivation of them. Stick to fruits and veggies
