Haven't tried that before and Im not sure if I'd do it.

Im skeptical about it's effectiveness because of the lack of information about these "cleansing" drinks.

Its a multilevel marketing thing. If you saw it here by "somerichchick.com" then it you buy it through going through her site name she gets paid. I don't think she cares if it works or not. Losing weight takes work, and if it comes off really fast, it will come back on really fast. Using just shakes to lose will end up failing in the end, since your body will store the extra calories you consume when you start eating normal food again. You wont know how to eat properly. Change your eating habits and watch your portions, not for a diet, but a lifestyle change. That way when the weight comes off you will have a new eating habit and it will stay off.

I'm an Independent Associate for Isagenix, so I'll be as straight forward as possible for you. The 9 day cleanse is the signature product, and usually people see good results (5-15lbs lost in 9 days). You cleanse for the first two and last two days (liquid diet) and the in between days you drink meal replacement shakes and have a sensible meal. My wife has done two cleanses and lost about 7lbs each time. I am a personal trainer and recommend the cleanse program to my weight loss clients as a kickstart to their programs, but inform them that there is no "magic pill", in that this will work, and they can keep it off if they eat sensibly from then on out, but if they go back to eating like crap, odds are the weight will come back.
It's true that it is a network marketing business as well, which after seeing our personal results (I actually started my first cleanse today), we joined to get discounts on the products for ourselves, but also to offer it to our clients because we believe in it.

Bottom line, if you're committed to eating healthier, this is a great way to get toxic buildup out of your system and kickstart a good nutrition program(I hate the term diet). Feel free to visit my site in my signature, and ask any other questions through there. Best of luck to you!

I'm with the Fitness Instructor. Short term weight loss is short term weight loss. You want to lose weight and keep it off you must retrain your mind as well as your body. There are many reasons people are overweight, some medical most a sendentary lifestyle, poor eating habits, way too many processed foods not enough healthy food. There is no permanent quick fix to losing weight and staying in shape. NONE...it is a life commitment taking care of one's self...PERIOD.

Scott -

Since you are a PT I will ask you (and if anyone else can answer my question I would appreciate it!) I am a new mom Mady will be 6 months on the 18... I am still breastfeeding her but I REALLY want to loose the weight that I put on while being pg and prior to being pg... Before I go married and even before I met my hubby I weighed 125... 2 years after we met I weighed 140... then 8 mos beore we got married I was 155... after we got married I did Weight Watchers and did great I got down to 140 but then I lost my job went back to 150... and 2 months after that he went to GA for 4 months but while he was gone I went back down to 145... when he came home (last year) we went out 2-3 times a week and I got back to 151... then I got PG... I gained 50lbs the day before I delivered I weighed 201.8 lbs... I know I had a baby inside and she weighed 6.8, her placenta was 6.9 and I had 21 cm of fluid... butafter that I went down to 180 and have been STUCK.

Breasfeeding is supposed to help you burn more calories, I dont eat more than I used to, I dont work I stay home with my baby and 8 (yes 8) dogsI try to go walking every other day with the giant puppy but my baby doesnt do well in the heat... a friend of ours is a PT and she is (and has) competing for the Miss Fitness America (?)... She totally intimidates me, I feel like a COW when I am around her and just dont feel totally comfortable talking to her, knowing she is judging me... but she offers Isogenix to her clients as well so here is my question...

Can I safely take Isagenix while I breastfeed? The reason i have been so catious about losing weight is because I know that loosing a tremendous amount of weight will release toxins into my milk which will cause my baby to get sick but is there a safe way to loose the weight and cleans my body?

Doing a cleanse while breastfeeding would be a bad idea. Just like you said, when you cleanse those toxins are being flushed out of your body and would definitely be in your milk.

I am a student Dr. and I agree, I wouldn’t start something like this while breast feeding. In addition to the toxins your body will be releasing who knows if this stuff will be excreted in your milk. You could end up giving your baby a second hand cleanse. Your baby needs nutrients, not a deprivation of them. Stick to fruits and veggies

Note to Mady's Mom: Do not be intimidated by someone who is "fit". That is them, you are you. We all have different goals and different metabolisms. Right now, your priority is being the best mom. Part of being a good mom is being happy and content. If getting back into shape will make you happier then go for it. A nursing mom must be carefull. I gained considerable weight with each of my 3 children and they were good, strong, 8 and 9 pound babies. They have grown into very strong, vigorious and healthy adults. None of my children are overweight. I have always tried to maintain my figure. I was not always successful but we do what we can.

First, go to Weight Watchers. They are the very best program out there for nursing mothers. You reinforce what you already know about eating a healthy diet but the support there is tremendous.

You also need a little grown-up time. If your husband/significant other/family is supportive of that concept, grab a friend and sign up for a Jazzercise class or a Yoga class. Either one will help you get into shape and you really need that time for your mental health as well as your physical self.

I spent years on stage, in front of an audience and had to look healthy (never skinny). Women are supposed to be curvey, if we were built like the guys we wouldn't be as much fun.

Love your baby and family, but also love yourself. If you are happy, they are happy.

"I cam across a site that is offering some weight loss programs, can anyone know about this. The site is buyisogenics.com. i want to try this if anyone tell me it will work"

I can tell you what I have witnessed over the last 3 months at my job. A gal in the ofc went on isogenix - she did well -- in fact, she lacks meat on her bones altogether (not so purdy, but that's another topic), she was asked how she lost her weight and decided to sell isogenix to about 4 or 5 other gals in the ofc. Each of them have done at best mediocre.

Isogenix requires that you have one day a week where you "cleanse" --you cannot eat ANYthing. (she was able to do this, I could NOT (wouldn't even try)) I do NOT recommend the diet; the other girls in the ofc are drinking the shakes and eating lighter so they are losing weight -TRY SLIMFAST, IT'S CHEAPER, if you wanna go this route; i have to eat 3 square meals a day or i am grumpy -- so i can't do this. I think these girls are going to go back to their old eating habits in no time and will gain all the weight back (because who could keep up with that nonsense).

Isogenix has a "snack" -- it's a PILL that you eat when you feel hunger, HELLO -- and it is COSTLY VERY VERY COSTLY, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR EFFORTS, GO ON A LEGITIMATE DIET - TRY WEIGHT WATCHERS, OR THINK THIN (i enjoy Think Thin -it is low carbs and high protein (i'm a big meat eater so this is good for me)) GOOD LUCK ... I HOPE YOU ALL ARE SUCCESSFUL -- BUT ALWAYS STAY BEAUTIFUL AS YOU ALREADY ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isogenics is basically offers a methods to clean your body. But there are some debates about whether this products is effective or not. Maybe its better if you research some testimonials first

My daughter who is 21 now starting having severe joint pains in her wrists and knees when she was about 16. By the time she was 20 she was using a cane to walk and we had taken her to more doctors than I can remember. She had X-Rays, CT, Bone Scans...you name it, they tried it...medications, therapy, even splinting but nothing helped her.
Finally a friend told her about trying accupuncture. We were desperate, afraid she would be in a wheelchair by the time she was 25, so she went to the accupuncturist. After several very painful sessions she began using the Isogenics as part of her overall treatment plan. All she does is drink one shake a day mixed with half the recommended dose of the cleanser and bananas and strawberries, ice, sweetener and water. We are not sure if it is the accupuncture or the Isogenics or the combination of the two but the girl has stopped using the cane, goes camping, dancing, hiking...all the things a mother wants to see her young daughter enjoy in her life. Meg is not overweight so I can't answer whether the Isogenics will help with weight loss, but it has given her back her energy and vigor and she misses it horribly if she has to go a couple of days without it. I am overweight and I just went on the program, just hoping for an energy boost. I have several chronic illnesses and between them, the extra weight from the hypothyroidism, and the medications I have to take every day, I am always "draggin' my wagon" as the saying goes down here. From what I have seen so far, the shake makes me very sleepy within thirty minutes of drinking it so I have been using it when I can take a nap right after drinking it. Also because you have to use a blender, it is full of air so I have to use Phazyme before drinking it or the gas makes me uncomfortable. I haven't used it long enough or regularly enough to tell you if it is good for weight loss yet but I will let you know. What I do know is that once I wake up, I have a lot more energy than I do on the days that I don't use it. I can also tell you that my daughter hasn't gained any weight while on it. I can also tell you that between the accupuncture and the Isogenics my daughter can finally be as active as a 21 year old girl should be and that is worth more than I can say.
Best Wishes,
Celeste

I've heard a few things...it works, it doesn't ....it's really hard to say. Especially because of the way this product is distributed - people are trying to earn commission. When commission is involved, I am always skeptical as people will tell you anything to make a sale. I would say that hard work pays off and nothing good comes easy - try a healthy diet and exercise!
