ok, so no one responded. but thats ok. i got my pills in the mail today so here begins my journaling. I will be taking Xenadrine EFX.
my background is that about two years ago i weighed 145lbs and had for awhile, up from about 125lbs when i graduated highschool in 1997. I was also a pack a day smoker. so i went on a diet, started to exercise and got myself on a good sleep schedule, and i lost 15lbs in 4 months(i was 130lbs and still losing). then i got pregnant so i quit smoking, due to complications and exhaustion i hardly exercised, i started anti-depressants and gained 10lbs a month for the last 8 months. I was 210 when i delivered. for the last 11 months, i have been trying to lose all that weight. i plateaued at 145lbs and was stuck there for months, which is what got me interested in supplements. i took a brand called Cuts, and although i did not experience dramatic weightloss, i did lose 3 pounds while taking it and i have continued to lose since being off any pills. so as of today, i am 136lbs. my goal was 130 but if i get below that, i will be very happy. my diet is that i try very hard to stay under 1300 calories a day, but that dosen't always happen. i try to exercise everyday, and i am pretty consistent that i atleast get 20 minutes in a day. i love exercise videos and i love being outside in the summer. also i play ball once a week. still have no sleep schedule, but baby should start to sleep through soon, i hope. so i promise to keep you posted. i'll start the pills tommorrow! jen |

well i actually started yesterday, and took 2 pills at 4pm. the bottle says to take them midafternoon, so today i will take them a little earlier. took two this morning. not really feeling any side effects that i can say for sure are caused by the pills. one other factor i forgot to mention is that i have hypo-thyroid (had graves disease as a youth and had a radioactive treatment at 14yrs resulting in an underactive thyroid gland that i take medication for daily). i have to take the thyroid pills first thing in the morning on an empty tummy, and i wait 30 minutes before breakfast or any other pills.
so i am a cronic scale junkie and i weigh myself everymorning. and today i weigh 135. i know it has nothing to do with one day on xenadrine, but i still like to see smaller numbers. jen |

| magicwizard, you are right about the one hour thing, guess i'll need to pay closer attention. not dieting today. binged for breakfast as i worked a night shift last night and have to parent this morning on no sleep. took the Xenadrine though, and wish i hadn't already eaten all the leftovers in the fridge. oh well, tommorrow is a new day and i'll weigh myself then. also not sure abut exercise today. its rainy and yucky and when i'm tired its hard to get motivated to do anything in the house. let you know tommorrow. jen |

| well, i guess today is technically day 5 on Xenadrine. haven't lost any wieght yet, but had a major binge on wednesday, so this serves me right. today and yesterday went good. i do have a horrible taste in my mouth that nothing seems to help. the only thing i can compare it to is a serious hangover. i brush my teeth and drink water but it persists. gum helped a bit. i do feel a bit energised and not truely hungry, so the trick to this weight loss thing is not to eat out of boredom or stress. so still 135 lbs. bye for now. jen |

| I tried all Xenadrine RFA, EFX, and NRG. The EFX formula, though similar to its ephedra counterpart, was not as effective for me. Same with the NRG. IF anyone finds a product like the RFA, please email me. |

ok, one week has passed and i have not lost a pound. but i am not discouraged. weight loss is slower near your goal, right? the taste in my mouth is still there, but i can see the benifits of drinking lots of water already in my skin. thanks everyone for all your encouragement! much appreciated. jen |

| Keep on trying. That is really the only way a person fails is when they give up. Give the formula some time to work, such as a month, it might be what your system needs. |

But after that I stoped losing and got everithing back!
No more Xenadrine.
I tried everything and my opinion: "Pills for losing weight don't exist. |

I try to listen to what my body wants. What it is craving etc. Sometimes, I just don't want to eat much of anything, sometimes I just want fruits and salad. Other times, I want something that may not be so good for me. The trick is, I don't have much of it. I am very much into portion control and eliminating unrefined foods from my diet, but sometimes I want a hamburger, cheese or something alfredo. Eating fruits before a meal fills me up, especially one like strawberries. I have about 20 stubborn pounds that I lose, gain, lose, gain. I think I just have to be more disciplined in what I eat and the combinations. Sometimes, I go a couple weeks of wanting to eat foods that are not so good, then I get back on track. Lose track...you know how it goes. But I would like something that made me feel the way I did when I was on Xenadrine. I took 1/3rd the dose and was able to lose weight and maintain it for a long time. It was when they took it off the market that I gained it all back. Haven't found a product like it since. It really worked and eliminated fat. My body had a nice tone without even trying hard. And I was regulated with my Doctor's assistance.
What has changed in the last year is that I had surgery to fix severe acid reflux. My stomach is about 40% smaller than that of a normal size stomach. So this has helped. I lost 73 pounds in one year. This does make me happy, I just don't want to gain it all back. If I stay where I am right now and can maintain, that would be so good. So I too am trying...I am thinking the best way is through diet and exercise at this point. |

iamouttamymind, i did a search online for the RFA and found several sites selling it. i am assuming that is the ephedra version of the EFX, which is what i am taking. so you probably could get it again.
dieting is hard. no question. disipline sucks. portion control is where i am lacking. and i find it very hard to stop eating once i start. and no pill can really help that, i'll have to do in on my own. i was so disiplined before i had my baby, but refocusing has been a slow process.
as for my Xenadrine journaling, i have gained a pound, so i am 136 lbs this morning, and i am not sure how because i had a good diet day yesterday, worked out hard, stayed under 1300calories (my goal) so not sure what's going on inside. try again today. jen |
