Hey
My name is Melissa and I am 20 years old. I have about 50lbs to lose. I am 192lbs right now and want to get to about 155lbs. My step mom is on Meridia after having gastric bypass surgery and she is very pleased with it. About 10 pounds in one month. She is also a doctor so I feel comfortable taking her suggestion. I wanted to try Phentermine but she said there were way too many dangerous side effects especially heart valve problems. She also said Meridia is not a stimulant like Phentermine which is a plus. Anyway I am very excited to start and I promised her I would stick with my diet and exercise routine for a month with Meridia to see how my progress is whether she needs to up my dose or not by next month. I haven't read to many threads recently posted. What happened to everyone??
Anyone have good success stories they would like to share?? How many calories are you guys taking in to lose the weight? I am 5'3 and a quarter.
Hope to hear from someone soon, don't be shy, if you read my post, please respond!

Melissa, how is your diet going? Have you started loosing wt? Drink lots of water and fluids! I am taking in about 1000 calories a day and not exercising, but making hourly trips to the bathroom! Eating veggies for lunch and 4 glasses of water, and soup or light sandwich, tuna for dinner, plus drinking green tea all day long, hot tea, lipton diet tea and propel. Dont give up.

| My body reacts very well to meridia. Not only does it put me in a fantastic mood, but it helps me drastically drop weight quickly. I lost 6 pounds within the first 3 days of taking it. I took it a few years ago and lost almost 20 pounds in one month. I didn't put an ounce back on afterwards (i only recently put on weight when i went to europe). I adore it and am very pleased with the results. im pretty sure that by the end of the month i will have been able to lose the other 14 pounds to get me down to 20 pounds of weight loss. |

Hi Melissa
I hope you decide to start meridia its certainly does give you a good start to your diet and i think thats what we need to see a good loss the first month, i'm following the WW diet while taking it and it's working great i can have the odd meal out and some wine and its not affecting my weightloss, i also from day one had wrote everything down my Dr then can look if i don't lose much in a month but so far its been good, i lost 14lbs the first month i was on it although my weighin did go over as i went on holiday in my second month i lost another 14lbs but i'm only looking for 7lbs this month i mean i can't go on losing like that or can i????
I must say its now showing and people are commenting on how i look which is just great makes you feel so good in yourself, i must say i do feel so much better but i have a long way to go, my target is to lose a total of 56lbs by April when we go on holiday agin, i just wnt to be able to wear nice clothes instead of baggy shorts and tee shirts.
Let me know how you get one, when you planning on starting???
Good luck
