Hi all,

I am into my third week of my first time trying any diet pills.

I've been taking Lipovarin & lost about 7lb initially, through cutting down on my intake, drinking a load of water, taking the Lipovarin & never eating after 7.30/8.00 at the latest...

Yes- I did lose 7lb initially & defo feels my clothes looser etc but the effect seems to have worn off now, it just isn't money's worth IMO. So I will finish the supply I have & then after A LOT of research I intend to try an ephedra/caffeine/asperin mix...

I know there has been an awful lot of contraversy about this product but I believe anything is dangerous if abused & being obese has a lot of associated health problems & risks in itself....

I don't plan to ever exceed the recommended daily dose (max 90mg as stated by the FDA) & will post my progress up here for anyone who's interested, I've ordered my pills & have to wait for them to arrive, will also finish the Lipo before starting so it will be a while...

In the meantime if anyone wants to keep me company here they are more than welcome, and any ephedra experiences too!

Hi Alla,
Yes I do there is an Ephedra forum on Yahoo & it's one of the most recommended supplements to take, it's in the top 5 as it has the ECA stack which is the most effective; ephedra + caffeine + asperin.

You have to be very careful when taking it though NEVER to exceed the stated dose of 90mg of Ephedra and you have to be quite healthy to start out & be very careful not to get overheated as people have died from taking it & there was a very famous case of a baseball player which caused the product to be banned temporarily in the USA.

Having said that there have been very few deaths due to Ephedra (less than 100) & there have been over 1000 deaths due to paracetamol in the last year & God only knows how many due to alcahol & tobacco. I reckon being overweight has a few risks too!

Anyway, the most important thing is to be careful & not to overdo it. I will take 2 a day (50mg) for 5 days a week & then take every weekend off...

Hi Jen,

It defo has ephedra in it, I think they brought out a 'new' product after the ban without ephedra as most companies did but since the ban has been lifted the ephedra is back in, maybe you are coming accross the product they had out during the ban?

The bottle I have has 25mg of ephedra in it per capsule...

Hi all - I used to take Metabolift and Diet Fuel, both by Twinlab, and I lost so much weight very fast about 5 years ago. Because of medication I am on now I have gained weight and I want to lose it DESPERATELY !
Can any of you share some of the sites that you have found ephedra produts at a decent price ?
I wonder when some of the "old" companies will start marketing them again, if ever - like Metabolife, Hydroxycut and Xenedrine, etc...

I know another 4 lb sounds like a lot in 1 day but remember the
first 7-10 lb are usually liquids & go very quickly & I have a lot

Hi guys,
I took Metabolife 356 with ephedra for 6 months, I dropped 50lbs, with out excercise, and I continued to eat McDonalds cheeseburgers, without excercise. But: I believe I was addicted to them, because I went throught withdrawls, when I ran out. And I would take up to 8 a day with the recommended dose is no more than 6. It also got to the point where I was forcing myself to eat. My mother even confronted me, becuase she thought I was doing some heavy drugs, because of the extreme weight loss. With all that being said, I also had a seizure, which lead the doctors to find mitral valve leakage in my heart. This could or could not have been caused by the diet pill. I just want to give everyone a heads up and tell you guys to becareful.
