| i'm in need of help. i was on the path to reaching my goal wieght with ease than all of a sudden i am unable to lose wieght. for the life of me i can't lose a pound(or inches). i've tried diets galore i exersize 2-3 hours a day and nothing seems to help i don't know where i get the body fat from its driving me crazy. i've been to a nutritionist and even their advise dosent help i was wondering if this has happend to anyone else. i started at 337lbs and got down to 194lbs then i gained to 230 and now im stuck. the only thing that has ever worked for me since the beginning was starvation and i don't even have the willpower to do that anymore. |

Hello,
I'm not a nutritionist or anything like that, but from what I know about weigh loss, there is always a recession after a long period of weight loss. There are many possible causes for this: Perhaps your body has entered a "starvation mode" where it's saving up all the calories you eat, your training isn't in the right target heart rate, your diet isn't balanced, your meals aren't well spread throughout the day and so on...
My advice would be not to be discouraged - it happens to virtually everyone. Seek professional advice again. Until you do that, a very important tip would be to have 5-6 smaller meals every 3 hours instead of 3 large meals. This increases metabolism and prevents the body from thinking it's "starving". Be wary though, your caloric intake should stay roughly the same.
Good luck!
