meridia not working?? please help!

can anyone help me. i lost 5lbs the first week on meridia. no appetite what so ever and i wish it would have lasted. after the first week i got my appetite back and i have been struggling with meridia ever since. i am hungry, i don't feel any different and i am not losing any more weight. in fact i gained 2lbs of the 5lbs back already. has this happened to anyone? does meridia lose its effectiveness that quick or does it take a few months for it to really kick in? the first week was amazing, i barely ate anything. now it is gone and i am constantly fighting myself to control myself over food. anyone, please help!

It comes and goes. I find if I take it on an empty stomach, first thing in the morning, and then wait an hour before eating, it works better. Also, exercise REALLY seems to make a difference. Not sure why, but activity makes the drug work more. Mine took a month to become less effective, but like I said, some days are better than others. YOu can always ask your doc to raise the dose, but you need to give it a little more time - it works in spurts. Hope this helps!

I took Meridia for 3 mo then stopped and then returned about 6 mo later, the 2nd time around was not successful. I'm considering trying again, it's been 2 years almost.

I found I needed to take it around 10:30am to keep the good not munching at 3pm to 4pm going.

I never took more than 10mg, but some people need the 15mg. Although it is not recommended to do so starting out since the higher the dose the higher the risk of heart problems and high blood pressure.
