Just to keep myself honest... |
|
|
I just started Lipovarin this morning. I thought I'd keep track of my weight loss journey here to help keep me honest! Just a little about me: I'm a married mother of a 4-year old daughter and 2-year old son. My pre-pregnancy weight with both kids was 116 pounds. About a year after my daughter was born, I weighed 108 pounds (even though I had gained 44 (!!!!) pounds during my pregnancy), thanks to nursing and frequent walking during my pregnancy. I was back up to the 116 pounds when I got pregnant with my son. I had a difficult pregnancy with my son and was on bedrest for the last 5 weeks of the pregnancy, then had an emergency c-section. Since my son was born 2 years ago, I have not made it below 123 pounds. Actually, I have been gaining! Of course, I blame bad eating habits (it's easier to grab a cookie than to wash/prepare veggies or fruit), lack of time to exercise (beyond chasing my wild man around the house), and a slower metabolism (I was 30 years old when I had my son). And so my weight-loss journey begins!
Starting stats on 6/25/05:
5' 1"
130 pounds
Wearing a *tight* size 10
My plan:
Take Lipovarin with the Ultra-Carb and the Chitodrene (as needed)
Eat a more wholesome, balanced diet
Start adding more exercise into my routine (minimum 3 - 4 days per week)
My short term goal:
Lose 5 pounds of fat by July 9th (my cousin is getting married)
Long term goal:
Weight: 110
Wearing a *loose* size 8
One question I have for those of you who have been taking the Lipovarin for awhile, though... The bottle says to take 3 tablets twice a day. That seems like a lot to me based on my size. Has anyone taken two per day and still seen some results? I took two this morning and am gittery as can be. I'm assuming that's because of the caffeine and I'm not a coffee/pop drinker so my body is not used to it. Plus, I haven't eaten breakfast yet.

I will be interested to see how you do as well. I am also tring to post and read post to be honest with my self. I also see that checking in makes it easier to stay on track . Even before started I was reading post and cutting back. So the support is great. So far I love this stuff nearly 2 pound as of tonite. |

2 lbs is a great start! |

I will be interested to see how much more quickly you lose with the 3-week rapid weight loss products. I almost ordered that combination of products, but decided not to... if I don't start seeing results after the first two weeks, I may decide to order the rapid weight loss products.
I did notice that even 2 of the Lipovarin is too much for me. I didn't even take any in the afternoon and I'm still feeling gittery! So I will try 1/1 tomorrow and see how it goes! |

Hi cmf,
I just started taking Lipovarin 4 days ago. I started out taking 1/1 a day because I have always been very sensitive to caffeine and any caffeine related products. From my experience, 1/1 a day really doesn't give me any jittery or nauseous feeling. Starting yesterday (the 5th day), I began to take 2/2 because I felt my body has adjusted to the caffeine in the system. I take 2/2 a day now and do not experience any side effect. I did notice that I eat much less than I used to and I have much more energy when exercising (of course, these are the benefits of Lipovarin). After just 4 days, I have dropped 1 lb. I'm 5'3", 26 years old. I have about 19 lbs to lose. My starting weight was 120 lbs. Just to give you an idea...
Good luck with everything! |

well I am down nearly 3 lbs I have alot of energy. No side effects to speak of. I started with 3/2 I feel pretty good. I haven't been hungry. This is really going to help me get back on the low carb track . I am there and need to be able to stay there. I was going to do just the Lipovarin but I need to lose 10 to 15 lbs by July 18th, Duran Duran is playing in Orlando I will be seeing alot of friends I haven't seen in a while and I need to be close to the weight they last saw me at. Anyway I will keep you all posted I love this support. |

Ok here's the update. I have dropped 5lbs since the 24th. I am on my monthly so thought I wouldn't see any loss during this time, but 1 1/2 lbs since yesterday. That is crazy. I love it. This has help me so much to get back on track. I have no hunger. I get hungry after a long period, but then can't eat much. Drinking lots of water, and only a little excersise. I will stay posted. I pray this keeps working |

Update: 7/5/05 (Day 11) |
|
|
Hello everyone!
Good news on the weight loss front! I am down 5 pounds in 11 days!
After the first day of feeling really jittery after taking 2 pills in the morning on an empty stomach, I decided to take 1 pill in the morning and one in the afternoon for a few days. Now I am up to 2 pills in the morning (with a handful of trail mix) and then 1 - 2 pills at lunch. That seems to work just fine for me. I don't think I'll need to go up to 3 pills since I am not a coffee/pop drinker and have a lower tolerance for the caffeine.
I have started the weight loss challenge today so I'm hoping that my weight loss continues to move along like it has so far. My husband and I are planning to join the local YMCA, which will help out drastically with helping me tone up a little.
All I can say is this... Lipovarin works great! As others have said, Lipovarin can't lose the weight for you, but it has definitely made the difference for me. I have made the conscious effort to eat more whole foods and lean proteins rather than processed foods and excess carbs, plus I am drinking a ton of water! Honestly, I haven't stepped up my exercise *at all* since starting with the Lipovarin but with making the eating/drinking changes, the Lipovarin has completely erased my craving for candy/sweets COMPLETELY which I never thought could be possible since I have always been a carb addict.
Anyway, I'm rambling now... but just wanted to keep you updated with my progress.

I am so happy for you guys! I am still at the jittery-ish phase and I have a stomach ache this morning, I think, from the pills. Need to experiment with my amount taken still but you all give me great hope!
The challenge is a great way to be honest and get support... Thanks for all your Posts.

You are on your way!!!!
Keep it up! I will be going out of town for the weekend to go to a wedding. It's a family reunion in a lot of ways so I know there will be food galore wherever I go... and it's always so hard to resist food when you're visiting family! I will have to really pull some willpower from somewhere, but I'm determined to stick with this and, at a minimum, not *gain* any weight this weekend!

Hi Barb,
I have found that I do better if I take my morning pills with a little something. Usually just a handful of trail mix does the trick to keep me from feeling nauseated. How many pills are you taking? I started with 1/1 and am now up to 2/1 or 2/2 if I know that'll I'll be up later than normal (otherwise, I have a hard time falling asleep).
I hope this helps! Good luck with your weight loss - keep us posted!
