Metabolic Rate |

Okay, I don't know that much about loosing weight. I've read a little online but can not find a specific answer to my question.
- I've always been able to eat anything and not gain weight. I've historically been on about a 3500-4000 calorie day diet of fried food and beer. I've have always exercied. About a 3 mile jog 3-4 times a week.
- I recently decided to loose a little weight, and I got into it. I cut down to about 2000 calories a day, and 1+ hour vigorous exercise 5 times a week.
- First 2 weeks I lost about 10 pound. Great I thought I would try to drop about 20.
- Last 4 weeks I have lost about 2 pounds, and I've acctually put on about 2 pounds in the last week. (Down 4 pounds... up 2)
My question is...
Have I screwed up my Metabolic rate? If so should I just keep up the lack of calories and lots of exercice, or should I try to increase calories then ease back down? Should I decrease calories more? Should I exercise more? |

Things to remember - your first weight you lose is water weight, its the easiest to lose!
Also muscle weights more than fat! If your only losing alittle and you have beefed up your work outs to me this is why your not losing anything your gaining muscle!
Dont get discouraged sounds like your doing great!
Also one more thing to remember,, the closer to goal you get the harder it is to lose... think of it like eating a watermelon.... the squishy red stuff goes fast,, but once you get down the the hard rind thats when its hard to lose! |
