it tastes all right, i have done the diet a couple of times. i have never made the full 7 days cause i get side tracked...but the book also says its good just to do the first three days every so often. the recipe:
1 head cabbage
6 carrots
6 onions
6 green onions
2 green or red peppers
3 tomatoes
5 stalks of celery
1 1/2 cup uncooked brown rice
i usually include less cabbage and some jalipino peppers. jen |

| just cause i feel like talking about my progress, i cheated today. i had some dessert at my staff meeting, but otherwise i am still on track and have lost some weight. its hard to gauge cause i had lost then gained and am losing again, but this time last week i was 134 and the scale had gone back up to 137 and today down to 133. i hate the yoyo! its gotta stay off. but i have to say that i feel great! i am always bloated and my tummy is usually unhappy, but the 'clensing effect' feels great! i'll get back at it again tommorrow with new vigor! when the numbers on the scale go down, its easier to stay on track. jen |

Congrats for your weight loss, Jen! |

| Congrats for your weight loss, Jen! But I’m afraid I have some bad news…I have a friend that went on cabbage soup diet last year and results were drastic but only little lasting. The worst thing about it, though, was that she really damaged her health because of this misbalanced diet and her nutritional values reached very low levels. In two months after 6 of dieting, she gained everything back, plus health problems! I don’t know about you, but you should think it over! Hey guys, if you have any research on that, help us out! |

ya, i can see if yu did this diet for any length of time, it could cause negative health effects, but the author of the book clearly states you should do the diet for 1 week then take at least 2 weeks off from the diet. I think you can use what momentum you have gained by losing some weight over the week and the healthy habit of eating fruits and veggies and incorporate that into a healthy balanced diet. but it has actually been almost a year since i tried to do the diet. i keep some soup frozen so that if i need a quick meal I can heat it up instead of a pizza pop! as for your friend, sorry to hear that. but i do have doubts that too many negative health effects can come from one week.
I have always felt really good after spending a week on this diet. i feel healthy and cleaned out! haha! maybe i should try it again!

I’m happy for you |

| I’m happy for you, especially that you have a solution to turn to every time you’re not comfortable in your skin anymore! I guess it’s important to find what suits you best, but never disregard what may damage you. No matter how much weight I lose or not, health is always the most important for me. Keep it going! |
