Weight Loss Surgery,Should You Do It? |
|
|
My wife and I are attempting to lose weight and we have ups and downs and ups and ups. We have tried so many times, we even went to a 3 hour meeting at a local hospital here in Pensacola, Florida. We feel as if the lap band is much better than the bypass. Any opinions on the subject? [/b] |

I personally stay away from surgery, unless it's a life threatening situation.
There is a famous TV talk show host who underwent surgery a few years ago. Of course, he drastically lost the weight, but here is today, and he is right back to where he started (almost).
You should focus on changing the way you think about food, and easily lose the weight by getting into the habit of natural, whole foods.
We've all been tricked by the food industry promoting quick and convenient foods. Not only are they nutritionally empty, but they're full of addictive processed sugars.
Just make an observation between the shoppers that go to Walmart vs. the shoppers at Whole Foods, or any similar health food grocery. Where would you find the overweight people?
Either surgery will reduce your ability to absorb nutrition, which you critically need to get your metabolic engines running at high efficiency.
"Dieting" is not so much about reducing or depriving yourself of food. It is more about making the right choices of QUALITY foods.
If you don't change this today, it will come back again after your surgery. You are better off spending the money buying organic foods, high quality vitamins & supplements, than spending the thousands in surgery.
(Don't rely on the insurance companies...because in the end, the consumers end up paying for it.) |
