PLEASE HELP!!! |
|
|
Hi everyone... I really need some advice in weight loss. Well, let me inform you a little bit about my situation. I've always been skinny my whole life (too skinny, at that). My parents are naturally thin, and so genetically, I was as well all my life. I hated how skinny I was earlier in life because it just didn't look healthy. At my highest weight, I was 98lbs (and no, I DID NOT have an eating disorder). Around 20 years old, I started on my birth control pills and they did warn me that I will gain weight, but with my weight being in the mid 90's, this was good news to me. The birth control pills increased my appetite and within a few months, my weight was in the early 100's. Everything was fine, until I exceeded my "goal weight" of 120-125lbs. I now have been on the pill for, about, 5 yrs. now and am up to 150lbs. I have tried EVERYTHING! Diet pills, exercise machines, eating right, going to the gym, running around the track... You name it, I've tried it. People have suggested on getting off the pill to see a change, but I don't want to take a chance and end up with an unwanted pregnancy.
I am desperate, at this point. If anyone can give any suggestions on what I can do to reach my goal (or get near it), without getting off my pills, I would really appreciate it very much. Thanks in advance!!! |

Try a food journal. Keep track for one week what you are eating. At the same time track/record your exercises. After one week compare calories in and calories burned. After one week you will be able to make a better decision as to what you should be doing.

Je,
If your weight problem is caused by the birth control pills then you should see a doctor. I am not an expert but these pills may cause a hormonal disorder, only a doc can help you with this.
There may be other contraceptive solutions suitable for you. |

Oh I didn't realize that.....have you talked to him about a thing they call the Nova ring .... I think that is what they call it anyways, you insert it yourself, and it stays in for 3 weeks at a time.....
I do know what you are talking about when it comes to birth control, I have had nothing but trouble with it, and for the past 3 yrs I have decided to not have any, it's very scary, but if I was to get pregnant, it wouldn't be the end of the world, hubby and I have been together for 21 yrs and we have 2 children. I have been looking at that esure, it's a permanent birth control, but who know's.
Good Luck, and I hope you find something out there that will suit your needs. |

Try this |

| I'm a medical doctor (a Christian) and I give my patients the same advice that helped me to lose 75 pounds and keep it off for 25 years: eat according to your hunger, not emotions. It sounds both easy and hard at the same time, I know, but I walk my patients through it step-by-step in the program I created. It's called The Eden Diet. It's all about eating food you love and enjoy, but in small portions and only when you're actually hungry. And it's about how to NOT eat because of "external" cues like emotions, boredom, etc. Everybody's different, and you should check with your doctor for what is right for you. But, if you're interested, check out my website http://www.TheEdenDiet.com. It's still under construction, but you can view parts of it. |

Maybe your weight gain doesn't have anything to do with lifestyle, overeating, lack of exercise, or will - power on your part. We all have a common problem, maybe this will help...........

| Have you tried waiting until you feel bona fide hunger pangs, and then eating only half portions of food? |

Hi being a girl and on the pill as well..i know how you feel about gaining extra unwanted weight.
I also have other health problems that have made me gain weight as well.
Like you i have tried many different things and have had no success.
I have found herbal products that help you lose weight naturally and healthy.
You would be able to stay on the pill and lose weight as well.
Not to mention feel more energized.

Loose weight the healthy way |

Loose Weight
&
Keep it off the Healthy Way.
Can you loose weight permanently? Absolutely!!!
Can you do it without risking your health? Absolutely!!!
Can you accomplish this great goal with a personal coach,
(Free of Charge) to help guide and support? Absolutely!!!
Loosing weight the healthy way has many variables according to how your body reacts to input. Here is one example, the starvation mode:
Every body needs specific nutrients in order to operate and function efficiently as it is designed to do. When these nutrients are not supplied in the quantities needed, the body will kick into a self preservation mode of storing resources in the form fat. In essence a person can overeat while at the same time starving their body. This condition in turn puts pressure on vital internal organs as they battle for the limited supply of nutrients, thus causing a variety of seemingly unrelated health issues. In addition the added weight adds an even heavier burden on the already over worked and under fed organs causing the bad health snow ball to increase in size.
Most weight loss plans and schemes focus solely on loosing weight which makes the condition more times than not worse. Not only is the body starved of needed nutrients, it is now robed of fat stores. After the weight is lost and the plan is put on the shelf because we have had enough food deprivation, the weight comes back with a vengeance which most people who struggle with weight issues have experienced as their hopes for a slimmer look are dashed.
Why not loose weight while achieving proper nutrition at the same time? Not only do you want to look good but you also want to feel good with more energy and vitality all at the same time.
There is help and hope.
