I started my diet about this time last year. Up until late July I lost 56lbs and I was very proud of myself. Knowing I still had a lot more to go I continued with my usual plan. Then in August I hit this slump and have not been able to lose a pound since! I have been told so many different things, a lot of people said I wasn't eating enough. So I started to eat more, I kept track of all of my calories and continued to go to the gym 4-5 days a week...and nothing changed. Unfortunately I let this get me down and haven't been anywhere near as strict as I should have been. So now I'm determined to start losing weight again. I know I shouldn't rely on a pill or anything but I was wondering if anyone has a similar story and what they did to get out of this situation. I was thinking about trying a diet pill, still continuing my diet and exercise, but I'm a little nervous. Someone PLEASE HELP ME! Sad

Have you ever taken diet pills before? I take phentermine but it would probally be too stong for you if you haven't. Cylaris is an OTC pill that works OK for me but I have a really high tolerance for pills. You could just try it and if you don't like them you can quit.

I have never tried any type of diet pill. Were there any bad side effects with Cylaris? That's my main concern. I am also afraid that if I do start to take a diet pill and feel that I don't need to anymore after a period of time, will the weight come back on really easily.

No, I didn't have any side effects from Cylaris. Just start out taking them slowly.. like one at at time instead of two. No, I think, you'll be ok if you continue to eat right and exercise after you stop taking them. They have a lot of caffeine. That's what suppresses your appetite.

See that's where the problem is. I've gotten my cravings and everything under control, its become very easy for me to eat healthy and have a cheat once a week. I just don't understand why the weight just stopped coming off. I want to lose another 50lbs by august, just like last year, but the way things are looking I don't know if I can do it. I'm thinking of maybe adding a different type of exercise. But I think I may try Cylaris and see what happens.

If I were you, and trust me when I say I have been in your situation more then once, and usually the only thing that gets me out of my funk, is to go on a really low fat diet for a few days to get things moving, this usually helps give me some positive feelings that I CAN DO IT, and it really does work for me.....I am not saying major low cal's, just cut out most all fat for a few days.....good luck Smile

My name is Noah Shahin, im a personal trainer out of las vegas, NV. The reason why yo-yo dieting exists and why it is struggle to lose weight is b/c of toxicity. There is undeniable evidance that links toxins to all disease, when impurtietes enter our body they attach to cells which are then coated with fat and water to harbor and dilude that cell to protect its your bodys vital organs. your body will actually create more fat as more toxins enter your body. startchangingtoday.com go to that site and watch the videos, i waste my time training someone that isnt willing to do the program. Keep in mind you become HEALTHY then Lose weight, you dont lose weight to become healthy. any questions please email me.

I have never tried any type of diet control medicine. All are have some bad side effects. That's my main concern. I am also afraid that if I do start to take a diet control medicine i will be affected by some side effect.

There are lots of us who instantly lose weight and then gain it all back overnight. Heard of self discipline-that too is part of the diet plan. Restraining ourselves from the goodies while your skinny colleague binges away Sad .
For me, a combo f diet and meds are helping, but you opt for one that works for you.

I was in a similar situation - Although i now use diet pills at the time i did not...

My problem was i was stuck at 170-173 area. I simply could not seem to get any skinny This lasted for a couple of months. But eventually i tried different types of exercises such as weightlifting instead of just aerobics, Swimming instead of jogging and i started to eat more meat (weather or not that was a good thing i dont know) I eventually started to slowly loose weight again after i changed it up a bit.
