18in4 Diet Plan Is A SCAM |
|
|
I am proud to say that I have lost 97 pounds in less then 7 months by using my own method. However, I thought I would try to speed up the process even more by this supposed spectacular diet plan offered by James Zeta and that is the 18in4 Diet Plan.
DO NOT BUY THIS. YOU WILL WASTE MONEY!!!
Not only does his diet make no sense it actually offers a diet deficient 4 day plan to follow. Then he goes on to add insult to injury by informing you there is a "follow-up maintenance program" for an additional $20+. Shame, Shame, Shame on you Zeta!!!!
Zeta contradicts what his 4 day meal plan offers. Such as, at one time he states "Eat Lighter Later eat your bigger higher calorie foods for breakfast and lunch and keep your dinner light." Basically, everyone knows this BUT his 18in4 does the opposite. You actually eat less for breakfast and lunch and eat more at dinner. The balance of protein to veggies to fruit is ridiculous.
I, unfortunately gained a TON of weight due to stresses in my life. Wish I could blame it on "kids" but that wasn't the case. I just blew up like a balloon because of stress. It happens. So for me, bordering on Diabetes (which the doctor warned me I was doing) was terrifying being I lost my Dad to diabetes and other family siblings have the darn disease too. I don't want to "go down" that way. It scared me enough to want to get healthy. My gallbladder was kicking in something fierce and I developed Rosacea (which if any of you ever had it know how painful sometimes it can get. Your skin gets raw and the break outs are intense!) This was all from getting heavy. My body went totally out of wack. My gallbladder attacks were horrific! Acid reflux burned like crazy. Ugh, it was horrible!
If I can offer any advice to any of you out there....please, pay attention to what you eat. Pay attention to how it makes you feel the next day. If you feel lethargic the next morning look back on what you ate and start figuring out what food your body actually works well with and what it doesn't. For instance, brown rice is supposed to be great for you but my body doesn't work well with it. However, my body works great with a small portion of white rice. Not everyone or every "body" is the same so you need to tune into what is best for your body.
As I mentioned before, I am proud to say I have lost 97 pounds in less then 7 months. I am still losing. How? Not only through a lot of prayer (God knows I prayed my heart out for health and I really wouldn't consider myself to be a "religious" person but I know I was heard!) I also listened to my body. I watched and listened. I eat 6 times a day. I have the 3 normal meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) but I add 3 snacks. The snacks usually consist of a V8 with a string cheese. Another snack will consist of 1/2 an apple with a green tea and the last, which is my favorite, is at the end of the day when I grab one package of the South Beach chocolate chip cookies and have 4 oz of milk or a regular tea that includes sugar and a splash of milk.
Please, don't starve yourself and don't buy into these ridiculous diets out there. Just pay attention to what your body is telling you it likes and dislikes. Cut back on your portions but EAT EVERYTHING YOU WANT. Don't have a whole potato.......have half. Eat 3 -4 oz of protein during your "meals"....add in veggies. And most importantly GET RID OF ALL THE SWEET-N-LOW, NutraSweet and SPLENDA. I got rid of all that stuff and immediately took off 15 pounds!!!! That stuff is HORRIBLE for you to eat and actually does more damage to you then good. Why do you think the diet industry is booming? Try to go organic when you can...I know it can be expensive BUT try when you can. It makes a world of difference.
Do you realize a "portion" is the size of the palm of your hand? We think that if we eat a big bowl of salad we will lose weight but quite the contrary. So, at your next meal, look at the palm of your hand. Imagine, honestly, how many veggies, protein and carbs could honestly fit in it. Imagine how COOKED rice would fit in your palm...then imagine how much protein.......then how many veggies...Then imagine all of those portions on a plate.
Another thing, write down what you eat in the beginning. It will help you immensely when you figure out what works well with your body and what doesn't. Also, if you run into a "no loss" period, you can look back at the times where you did lose a lot and start losing again. It's a great way to chart "your body."
Keep up with your Omega 3's. Very important!!!!
So God Bless. Good luck to you but please don't follow snake oil salesmen anymore. This diet is a rip off and, for those reading this, I did follow the 18in4 diet to the letter and lost (no kidding) 18 ounces. It actually slowed down my progress. Maybe that's what the 18 stands for? 18 ounces and not pounds?
Oh, and before I leave you, after looking at many of the posts regarding the 18in4, many of you have compalined about having gained ALL and more pounds back immediately after going off this diet. So what good is it?
SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! |

18in4 Is A Scam....You're Right! |

I agree with you. I've lost a bunch of weight and not by all these fad diets. I actually compiled everything I ever learned and put a mish-mash diet plan together that worked for me. I lost ALL the weight (over 83 poounds) in under one year and have kept it off for over 5 years.
My wife tried ZETA's 18in4 diet to lose a quick dress size before our 30th wedding anniversary extravaganza. She lost a bit but gained EVERYTHING back sooo quickly and added on another 5 pounds!
People, eat!!!! Stop with the Nurtasweet, Splenda and all that garbage. It doesn't work. It actually has adverse affects in the long run. That is why so many people are coming down with funky diseases. All that man-made, manufactured sweetener is dangerous!!!
So, I agree, listen to your body and learn from it. Do a bit of exercise. A fun exercise regime (for the newbie) is Leslie Sansone's Walk Aerobics. If you are out of shape she has a great beginner's DVD. Then you can move on up to her advanced. I'm a guy and I like working out to it. My wife and I do it together. It's actually pretty funny to see us workout together but I can tell you the benefits are out of this world
So, forget this diet. It's a scam. Eat 3 regular, well balance, well portioned meals and make sure to have at least 2 snacks a day. Make them count. Have some almonds and green tea for a snack! A fistfull of popcorn? How about 6 small crackers and 3 small, thin slices of cheese...sort of like a cheese cookie to get your through the afternoon munchies.
All these little things count and what's great about it is IT STAYS OFF!!! Yep. it stays off!!!!!
I have never looked better in my life nor felt better in my life. Life is good once again. I should know...I am a midlifer!!!!
Please don't waste your money on this diet. It truly is a SCAM! |

18in4 - It Doesn't Work |
|
|
Congratulations on your quick and permanent weight loss. I will seriously take your advice. Do you have an e-mail that I can contact you and maybe we could do a buddy system of some sort? I need help!!!
I purchased this 18in4 SCAM and lost almost nothing. The first day I dropped 3 pounds and thought YAHOO!!!! Then the next day I actually only lost .5 ounces but then I remembered Zeta wrote "Best time to weigh in is after your 4th day"...so I did. I lost a total of 4 pounds! Mind you, I had headaches, nausia and forced myself to go to bed early every night because the hunger pangs were intense!!!!
It's a poor diet plan to follow. Not healthy at all. I knew it but hoped I was wrong, again!!!! |

18in4 |

Ok. Well, I tried the 18in4 and did lose a few pounds. NOT the 18 Zeta says you would. However, I not only felt sick and lethargic through the process once I was finished the program and back to eating a well, balanced diet it seemed to back fire. It's like it messed up my metabolism or something.
This is an awful diet and I warn anyone out there if you want TEMPORARY weight loss for a special occasion (like for a weekend or something) then go for it BUT you better realize there will be a price to pay when you go off it. That little dress you wanted to fit in will only fit for that weekend because once you go back to eating normally (I mean even a well, balanced diet) you will blow out of that size.
I have to say I did gain all the weight back unusually fast when I went off the diet BUT I gained control again of my weight because I just started portioning my meals better.....as I had done before.
This diet is ok for a quick fix but you will pay a cost in the end. Don't waste your money. All these people that are saying they are losing weight they are NOT telling you they gained it all back. I have read they return to use this diet to lose a few pounds here or there after gorging on holiday treats and whatnot. That is what this diet is good for. However, if you read on these people ALL gain the weight back and use this diet for a quick fix.
So, if you are looking to yo-yo diet.....then do 18in4. You will lose a stone or two BUT that stone will find your butt once again. However, if you are looking for PERMANENT weight loss....THIS IS NOT THE DIET TO FOLLOW. |

18in4 WORKS!!! |
|
|
| Not sure why it didn't work for all of you but I lost 47 lbs to date using 18in4, 17lbs in my first week. Best thing I could have spent money on. I have been scammed by many people but this was truly legit and James Zeta was always there to answer any questions I had. I was feeling very depressed before I purchased his plan and now I can say I am very happy and for once in my life I am going to the beach with my head up high. |

| I too just finished the 18in4 plan. I lost 12 pounds and I am going to do it again. Yes, you have to have a follow up plan ready; you just can't go back to your old ways but it has motivated me and I am so pleased I spent the $27. |

This diet is simply the four day diet that has been doing the rounds for years- don't buy it you can find it free anywhere on the net.
There is a four day version out there too which is what the 18 in 4 plan is- you just do it for an extra day.
Don't buy it, it is very hard to stick to, and you can find it for free- $27 is a lot to pay for stuff that is out there for free- particularly when it does not work. |

Diets |

| I often receive magazines and brochures in the post advertising the latest fad diets - all are just ways for the authors to gain pounds (or dollars in your case!) I congratulate you for losing so much weight your own way. My Mum always says, "a little of what you fancy does you no harm" and "everything in moderation". My husband lost alot of weight following the Atkins Diet, which to my mind suits men better than women. I agree that we should eat smaller portions but to eat well. Keep away from ready-made meals and artificial colourings, additives and preservatives. It's often said in the UK that people were never healthier than when they were on rations during WW2. Keep healthy and live long. |

18-in-4 James Zeta diet plan.... |
|
|
Wish I would have seen this BEFORE my boyfriend had me order the 18-in-4 plan...we followed it TO THE LETTER.....he lost 10 pounds, but gained body fat...so, in actuality, what he lost was muscle weight. Me? I did not even lose one pound! I did lose 1% body fat. Can't even tell we were on this wonderful diet!
Bottom line, folks, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! DON'T WASTE THE FOUR DAYS! You basically starve yourself with negative-calorie foods (and very little, at that), only 3 meals/day...no snacks, etc. More sensible would be to eat 6 small meals throughout the day, drink lots of water, and go for a walk!
Good luck to you all.... |
